By the way, I wish Wilson would acquire some of Nate's confidence

really, budda? i don't feel confidence is much of an issue for wilson, for the most part.

he's just just the polar opposite of nate, in terms of displaying emotion.

i've seen the mayor be completely unafraid to take big shots late in games.

for him i feel it's more about consistency and improving some other aspects of his game.

I do not want to bring ghosts out there but Nate looks more and more like... Steph.
Not like personality but with his game.
I am not so sure that MDA can have him in his system when he will settle it down in NY.
From one site Nate can run and gun better that anybody and play motion defense as Mike wants.
But I do not believe he will be able to move the ball on offense the way coach wants.
But as Mike sad yesterday on the press conference after the game (it was about Pistons outrebounded us by 20+) you must to give out something to get other things going.
Will Nate be this something to give up or Mike will change his system to accommodate Nate the best possible way? Only time will tell.
Same can be said about Lee in Mike’s system.
Coach is still evaluating and that why this 2 are still there.

Sorry wrong word, he needs more emotion, I tired of the stoic type who usually play for the Knicks

I don't think I've ever seen him even smile yet.

What is that sound stirring in the rafters? Starbury's ghost!

I kid, and agree. Nate has got the Steph in his Prime swagger going, barreling into the paint, breaking down defense. But did Steph have an outside shot like Nate does?

I like loyalty and would love a Knicks team with both Nate & Lee be around for the next couple of years. People keep saying that this isn't a championship team. HOW ABOUT A SOLID 6th SEED? I'm *dying* for at least that. I like what it would say about the direction of the organization if we put some faith into our draft picks. if we're going to do it for Gallo, let's do it for Nate & D. Lee.

Nate, along with his much publicized emotional flaws, never EVER receives the credit for being an intelligent basketball player. In order to excel at 5'7 one would need to understand the angles and know when to pick his spots, especially when venturing into the paint.

At 5'7 one cannot see over players to view the court so you must see around them. Nate at guard must find spots quickly and attack decisively. That is an acquired taste for dudes that are 6'7.

So, I marvel at this string of performance that dates back to the five games before the All Star break and watch him paired with a 6'5 defensive presence in the backcourt, and just think out loud,

"can Nate get better?"

The answer is yes.

Nate is a superstar in one thread, and he's a franchise player in this thread.

I love this forum.

I think the comparison to Marbury is valid- where you have a smaller player who is strong and can get into the lane at will. And to some degree, they both share some weaknesses in being head cases in their own way- one definitely more poisonous than the other.

Hey, if we can draft Tyreke Evans to fix the mismatches on defense and find a way to completely flip the Layden script and get Camby back, then we might be able to play Nate 40 minutes a night and win most of our games.

Fitting a roster together that's cohesive is a new concept for the Knicks, so maybe they're still getting it.

Hughes isn't a terrible pairing in the backcourt with Nate, but we still need to fix our front court to allow those two to press. If Nate can't press, then he's going to be a problem for your defense.

I've never seen this Samb kid, but I'd like to give him a shot.

Samb - Al - Chandler - Hughes - Nate would be interesting.

For those who want to keep him, we'd better give him some kind of PG tryout in the last 15 or so games to see if he can do it. He's got the ability, but can he ever trust his team enough to really do it?

We can't keep them both. I know that for sure now after seeing them in about 250 games. Having Nate and Lee on the floor at the same time is not a winning formula for extended minutes. They create multiple mismatches on the floor that is almost impossible to make up for with your other players.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

We started 4th last night with Nate, LH, JJ, Chan, and Q... Terrible...
But this was the strech when we had best defense and solid offense and get back into the game...
Sometimes you would think that Make is some kind of genoius...
