Why would OKC give you a draft pic for a guy they can sign to a offer sheet?

Did Lee guard Devin Harris and Vince Carter last game? I guess those 5 steals were luck and he got them by playing no defense?

Because the Knicks will just match it.

Maybe that would explain why the two combined for 60 points

If we had a proper Center and a real starting PG, this team is would be just fine. The thing is we all know that if you have a top tier guy your chances of playing for the title are great and if you don't it's nearly impossible to get to the finals, so the extra guys like Lee and Nate aren't the real issue. Get the Superstar or two and fill in around them.

Let's take Mr. double double. Tell me you don't cringe every time he takes an outside shot? Wouldn't it be nice if he could post up once in a while to give us an easy basket late in a game? Wouldn't it be nice if he could block a few shots or become a defensive presence? Maybe attack the offensive boards? Well it's never going to happen. He's one of the reasons we lose every game in the fourth quarter. I would not look to sign him for 5 years because we might be able to trade him and get a high draft pick, hopefully someone who can do those things (like Hill for example).

Then there's N8 the great. I'd much rather have a traditional 6'6" SG or a true PG. There's no way he will be happy coming off the bench next year as the 6th man.

attack the offensive boards? Lee doesnt do that? Do you watch any Knick basketball?

Would I like to see all those things you mentioned? I dont really care. I care about improving this roster. So I look at the weakest positions that contribute the least to start my upgrades. Those are PG, SG and C. If I needed to improve my bench I this draft would be great, because there are 2 all stars and 20 bench players coming out.

Lee just doesn't have the size to be physical inside. Watch Wilcox on the boards. He blocks out and creates holes. When he's out there Harrington has been grabbing boards because Wilcox creates space. Lee actually looked good on defense against the Bobcats...of course he didn't get his dbl/dbl so what does he do? He comes out against NJ and gets his dbl/dbl but played the worst defense I've ever seen him play....which is why I'm ranting now.
Lee has springs in his legs and is a great offensive rebounder. I have no idea what your on about. Lee isnt small. He doesnt get pushed around. And Wilcox sucks. He doesnt play hard and never has. Glad your enamored with a guy that rips a couple rebounds down, looks tough then takes 2 games off. Good guy to build a team with.

Lee just has to many holes in his game at this point in his development. It makes me weary of committing 5 years and 40M. This franchise is just digging itself out of a hole where we've been saddled with long term contracts for players who perform below the expectations of a player making xx dollars. The Lee who showed up in the second half last night was aggressive and we won. The angry dunk at the beginning of the second half showed an aggressiveness I'd like to see more of from him. Another thing that concerns me is that he didn't appear to be angry because they were going to lose again, he seemed angry with the missed calls by the officials. He needs to take losing personally, until then, I say he needs to go. Losing is a culture we need to get rid of. These guys need to stop accepting loosing.

Lee is not part of the problem, he is part of the solution.

$40mil don't buy much these days.
