Overrated. I agree with the sentiment that he wouldn't be a star on this team. I like him but he's not the guy that puts us over the top. Not by a long shot.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

He would be of the Sean Marion mold, maybe not quite as good, but he would have that role. Someone who can rebound, block shots, shoot an open 3, fill the lane on the fast break, play defense, hustle, cut to the hoop, ect...
He's not the first option or a guy to build around though.

I like wallace, but he would come here and get hurt right away... larry brown got his attention early with trying to trade him.. funny how injury free this guy has been this year(with the exception of the ridiculous bynum foul)... Wallace shoots 27% from beyond the arc and has never really been a good shooter.. Nice player, but don't let him playing vs the knicks fool you.. guys like wallace, dunleavy, turkoglu all look like damn near max players vs the knicks..

I think it simply comes down to how you build a team in the NBA vs what your goals are. If you're giving up 2010 for guys like Lamar Odom or Gerald Wallace, your goal obviously isn't to win a championship. Sorry.

I don't think you have to completely scrap 2010 plans to bring Gerald.
If you include Curry in the trade and don't resign Nate (maybe trade him for a 1st rounder), you can use that money to keep Gerald in the long term while still having enough to resign Lee and splurge in the 2010 FA market. You definitely have to try to trade Jeffries, but I don't think that is impossible.
