Here would be the interesting scenario for the Calathes fans out there...

If you could draft Thabeet and then buy a pick late in the first to get Calathes...

Does that fill the holes in our roster to the point where you could make Nate the full time SG, and Lee the full time PF?

You'd cover up a lot of the warts on Lee and Nate if you had those two.

Put Chandler at the 3 and Gallo subbing in at the 2,3,4, and you'd have at least a cohesive young set of players to go for a lot of years down the road.

I don't know if you'd win games, but in theory, those players fit together.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I know you can't put him in the same class as some of the other names we're throwing around here, but I really like KC Rivers. Numbers aren't spectacular or mind-blowing but he's been a real steady performer for Clemson over the past 3 seasons. Found out last night that he was close to going to Wake Forest 4 yrs. ago. I didn't know that. Apparently Wake was putting too much pressure on Rivers to make a quick decision and he backed off. Lefty has decent size, shows nice defensive instincts (forced Ish Smith [I think it was Smith] into a turnover last night out on the perimeter with some quick hands and feet), takes it strong to the basket with long strides and a quick 1st step & he can really shoot the ball well from deep. If I were a GM looking for an extra shooter, I'd take a chance on this guy with a late first/early second round pick. You could do a lot worse. If Courtney Lee made it in the NBA (he's actually played well for the Magic this season at times) so can KC Rivers.

Where's Wayne Chism on these boards? He'd be a decent 2nd round pickup.

Better yet... what if we took Isiah Thomas in the 2nd round?
