Jeeze, I mean you beat the Bobcats, Nets and Bucks in the next three and you'd have to think we'd be in the 8th spot, or really close to it looking at how the schedules and standings play out.

Sounds about right. City will get all into the Knicks and then we'll head into Detroit and probably get slammed back to reality.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Team GB
1. x-Cleveland --
2. x-Boston --
3. * Orlando 3.0
4. Atlanta 14.5
5. Miami 15.0
6. Detroit 16.5
7. Philadelphia 18.0
8. Chicago 20.0
9. Milwaukee 21.0
10. New Jersey 21.5
11. Charlotte 21.5
12. Indiana 22.5
13. New York 22.5
14. Toronto 26.0
15. Washington 34.5

I hope this chart holds up. We need a run - and then that might not be enough. We're not done yet, but it isn't looking good. My guess is that the first seven team stay as they are and New Jersey battles Chicago for the eighth seed.

we play Charlotte, NJ, Milwaukee, Chicago all within the next week or two so we are DEFINITELY still in this.

Still in what? Losing our lottery pick and the guaranteed higher draft pick?

Pure lunacy.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Pure lunacy for a rebuilding team.

might be the last year for Lee and Nate... they're going to bust it to get into the playoffs

I don't know who we can play to intentionally lose games. Curry I guess if he ever gets into any kind of shape other than round.

Next games are Bobcats (W), Nets (L), Bucks (L), Pistons (L)... doesn't get any more critical than this.

No excuses. Gotta take 3 of four here and see where you're at after that.

22 games left - 15 wins gets you to 40
if we win 3 of 4 it would be 18 games left needing 12 to get to 40

Basically have to win 75% of our games from here on out to get to 40... sheesh... a lot to ask.

IMHO - it could look like that. bobcats been playing strong - its a back to back for them tonight so not expecting much - why i gave the knicks the W for that one. it could easily be an L. as for the other teams, the knicks will need to play REALLY inspired to beat them.

We need to play "inspired" to beat the Bucks now?

We should be able to beat any Eastern team not named the Cavs, Celts, or Magic.

If we're not in 8th or better before the home and home against Orlando then its probably over.

Playoffs? You know we've lost 10 of our last 14, right?

Being only one behind in the loss column isn't really as close as it sounds given that we will lose more than we win of the forthcoming games.
