Off topic here but i like Spree. I'd give him a pass for choking his coach and acting like a dick regarding his contract extension based on what he did for us here. Manned the 3 spot guarding players who had 3 - 4 inches over him and was fearless driving towards the hoop.

The thing that made Spree great was he was just a fearless competitor.

With Spree, the image I always had was if you were going down a dark alley at night, Spree was the one you guy you wanted with you to have your back, that wouldn't run away.

He had a will to win, much like Nate does, though Spree was actually quite intelligent- not so sure about Nate.

Honestly, I am surprised he never came back- too much stubborn pride.

And at 40, I bet he could help out many teams. There was a recent news item where some players that had scrimmaged or met him recently said he could probably still bring it.

Too bad about his yacht & home- weren't both foreclosed & seized?
