imo walsh was right to not sign those guys over the summer. he had to see how they responded to mda's system, whether mda wanted them here long-term, not to mention whether he was willing to jeopardize 2010 for them. it was a smart gamble given what the circumstances were at the time.

If it comes to it, why can't we just worry and see which other teams are willing to sign Lee and Nate for at what price. They should tell those guys to go out and get the best price possible and we'll just match it. How many teams will run out to offer Lee $10 mill per year? If Lee can get $10 mill on the open market then we'll just match it...
