^^^ and I agree with Briggs. These guys are Knicks. They want to be here. They play their asses off every night. They have gotten better every year in the league and at 24/25 both could easily make the leap to all stars in the next year or so.

Tell me again why we wouldnt keep them? Because of the 1% chance of Lebron coming here? I agree. These are good players that we can not afford to lose for nothing.

Maybe we keep both or neither. I'd look for Walsh to entertain a sign and trade for both these guys in the summer. If something that makes sense comes along then I'd say Walsh will do it. I also think both these guys will be a little nervous on draft day. Odds are 50/50 either of these guys will be back next year, but I'd miss N8 the most. He can single handedly change a game and is proving to be dominant in the 4th qtr. He can stop and pop or take it strong AND get the foul. Those three point plays late in the game are money. I think we're all underestimating his value. This guy is going to get paid.

End of the day, I say N8 stays and Lee gets traded. You bring in a player in 2010 that teams have to double and everyone gets better, but N8 will be ridiculous

BTW - I think we're going to have to add Wilcox to this thread. Too soon to say, but he might turn out to be too good to let go....MDA's system and increased minutes could bring out the best in him. He's another guy with upside who hasn't reached his potential yet. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, too soon to tell.

Lets just say...and I'm just sayin'....Donnie can pull off a sign and trade for Lee/Mobley's exception and get Lamar Odom....Is Lee still missed?

If you are saying if we can do better, should we? I say yes but it would have to be a no brainer.

If these guys are given reasonable salaries, they can be attractive parts of any sign and trade in 2010. We should be able to sign one max contract FA and keep a couple of our players (perhaps Lee and Nate or Wilcox or Duhon) and use the latter for a sign and trade or simply keep them. We can easily trade Jeffries if sweetener is included.

All I'm saying is that in a short time, Donnie has all the parts primed and ready for max flexibility and can continue to concentrate on looking for opportunities to improving the team.
