Nate and Curry for Kenny Thomas and Hawes or 1st RD pick.

or

Nate and JJSkinny for KT, Hawes and 1st RD pick.

You want Nate, take on Curry. {Period.

i like the sound of that. no one is going to do that in this economy though. no one. Curry MUST prove he's healthy, but that's an option for next season as well - if Curry can at least prove to be healthy, you say, hey, you want Nate? take our Curry, please.

talk about overvaluing your own players.

Nate is good but is he worth a first round pick straight up? And then you want the other team to add $10M to their salary cap with a player who is caca?

Come on guys.

Yes, Nate is worth a 1st round pick. We need a pick back if we trade him and include Jefferies.

Nate is on the cusp of demanding $6M+ on a team that has Kevin Martin and FGarcia and you think that SAC is gonna want Nate for 1 year AND take Jefferies AND give up a 1st round pick.

i mean, there's no way we get sacramento's pick - they're going to have a top 3 pick in the draft. but i think packaging nate just to dump jefferies is undervaluing. i am glad donnie is patient to let the thing play out.

I like Joe, but time and time again he makes these crazy-azz trades lol.

painful, but this is exactly the kind of trade we have to make in order for 2010-2Max to work
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

It sounds like their might be a minor market for Jeffries. We won't get anything too worthwile for him other than 1 yr of savings but that is all we need. We may be able to wait till the offseason. Curry is the one that's going to be a bear to move.

I didn't propose the origional trade. I am happy with just Nate and Curry for Thomas. The other guy proposed those trades.

i think donnie is trying to determine nate's value at the moment. nate has been up and down all year, but if he can play the level he's been playing lately, why do you trade him in a salary dump that only creates $6M in space?

If we can move Jeffries it would give us enough salary cap room to sign two major free agents.

UPDATE (2:36 p.m. ET): Just got word that the Knicks turned down the Kings again. Sounds like they're not as motivated to move Jared Jeffries as so many of us thought.

.....
Nate is probably playing a little to well to do such a trade but Jeffries is crippling us as well and having to KEEP Jeffries AND PAY Nate? Double whammy. If Sac offered back a protected pick I think you consider it then.
Its Walsh. He's patient to a fault. He's not going to take a bad trade and thats a terrible trade, even with those prospects. Nate is close to becoming a bigtime player. Those guys arent.

I am very happy with everything that went down today. We got good players that fill vital rolls and we gave up nothing. We got a defensive athletic bigman that can guard centers and play uptempo. We got a versatile perimeter defender and scorer in Hughes and we got rid of Malik who was doing nothing here and fugazy who is... well, fugazy.

Knicks are a playoff team right now. We have a good starting lineup with Wilcox, Lee, Harrington, Hughes and Duhon and awesome firepower off the bench in Chandler, Nate, QBrick and Gallo.

Good 9 man rotation for MDA

this is not true if we sign Dlee and Nate and Duhon. it gives us the space to sign ONE. we NEED to move jefferies if we want to keep Duhon, Nate and Lee and get ONE Max guy.

Absolutely. No need to jump the gun here.

Douby is being released by the Kings, he can back up Duhon. I think he is good for 10-12 minutes a night and is from Rutgers.
