i was guessing he was headed to the Alba thread w/some Jergens & a box of Kleenex.

dont forget the cheetos....

NICE WOOOOOHOOOOOO. Jefferies for Mike James next!

Man, I'm riding shotgun with you on this one for sure

I'd cling to the rear bumper with my teeth and get dragged down the street for this one.

Wilcox I still think has a ton of potential. I know he hasn't performed in the NBA but this dude was a beast at Maryland. I think if you put him and Lee next to each other you got a hell of a front-line.

Awesome move by Donnie.

This is Godfather part 2. Donnie put a hit on ZBo, Mardy and Jamal in the beginning of the season. Today, JJFat, Tiny Tim, Roberson and Malik are sleeping with fishes.

Donnie is the godfather.

Word... and I think the turnover is tremendous... the only way to get over Isiah's Reign of Terror is to get that garabge out ASAP (and throw Roberson in the trash pile too).

He is no Godfather, if he was he would have made Cleveland an offer they couldn't refuse.

it's a little sad that we have to get excited over minor deals of this kind... we haven't improved our team whatsoever in any impactful way, but at least we're not making dumb trades to add on longterm salary just to make a meaningless push for the playoffs like i had feared we might a few weeks ago, so that's a plus i guess.

hey, donnie has been saying we need a shotblocking pressence downlow and a SG. and he got two short term solutions. i think these trades make us MARGINALLY better, but possibly better enough that a playoff run this season isn't out of the question, which before the deadline it was. so, i like the moves. we got a long term plan, but donnie has been crafty in the short term.

i like the moves but i'm not headed over to the Alba thread w/my baby oil in tow anytime soon...

actually who am i kidding, i do that every day regardless...

No need to be so pessimistic. The Wilcox trade is a low risk, high reward type deal. He's an athletic big, still in his prime who is going to be playing in a WIDE open offense. Give it a shot, kid.

I think we have. I mean we haven't improved the team to a point that we are a contender or anything. But we added 2 starters for players that hardly play for us.

Wilcox at center eats all of Jeffries mins plus he might actually do really well as a center under D'Antoni. And Hughes is more cappable of being an impact player then Tim Thomas. Plus he provide depth at guard which we so desperately need so we can keep our players just a little fresher.

Like these deals MUCH BETTER than the proposed deal with the Kings. Wilcox is a superior option over Brad Miller. Nevermind the fact that it seemed like we couldnt get through to Petrie and those cowbell lames.

Ol' boy Donnie is on point right now. Swag is ridiculous.

if THAT gets done then i will be gizzing in my pants, only cuz of the added cap space in 2010... & we'd actually have a pretty deep team after that trade went down.

LOL, in a matter of 5 months or so, Donnie and Mike D' pretty much urinated all over Isiah's "body of work." I love it.

i ain't being pessimistic broham... i like the trades, but i was sorta hoping for some more significant moves to add picks or something this deadline... it's still not too late but it's looking like Lee & Nate aren't going anywhere, so unless Donnie's got a plan to dump Fishlips our 2010 plan could be in jeopardy depending on what happens w/those 2 guys' extensions after this season ends... i've always liked Hughes & Wilcox btw... Wilcox was the guy i wanted when he came out in the draft when we ended up trading Camby & Nene for Antonio McKnee, & i even traded for Hughes on my 2K9 Knicks team... Wilcox hasn't really lived up to his potential but i still think he's serviceable, absolutely more of a fit for our needs than Malik was, that's for damn sure.
