According to Screamin' Stephen A Smith, the Knicks are close to trading TT and Jerome for Hughes.

I like this deal, Hughes will be a more attractive expiring next year, than Tim Thomas. Getting the stench of Jerome James off this squad is cake.

I think its a wash money wise- trading Timmy maybe opens up more of a spot for Gallo and Hughes steps in at guard where we could use someone who can give us someone better than Q to give us more minutes(he also can play a little point).

Also opens up a roster spot for P Ew Jr

Doesnt hurt it. This is on surface a lateral move, but it could pay some decent dividends.

Wilcox could really help us up front. Hughes and Wilcox would provide enough balance where we might be able to make a last ditch run at the playoffs
