You can trade injured players....as long as the team waives the physical.

great... we get to see brad miller get his shot blocked by the bottom of the rim 200 times a season...

No more than Jefferies blowing wide open layups 200 times a year. Getting rid of Jefferies make this deal worth it, if it is jefferies as the other player.

I am curious as to why the kings would take on jeffries longer deal.. they would be better off keeping miller..

They'd save on the luxury tax and would essentially get to split the $12 million owed to Brad Miller in 09-10 to 09-10 and 10-11. From a purely financial perspective, it makes a lot of sense

Jeffries and Malik for Miller and Moore works on the trade checker. That makes sense for both teams.

thanks... because I really didn't see where it made sense for them... So what you are saying is that jeffries salary keeps them out of the luxury tax?

Rose expiring is probably all they need to avoid the tax... as for Jeffries, the Maloofs only have to come up with $6 million to pay that roster spot next as opposed to $12 million, which in this current economic climate probably appears more appealing than it typically does. They would still owe the same amount of money, but what essentially amounts to a $6 million deferment could very well be the difference between the Kings losing money and being profitable... I mean, they play in Sacramento

I'll be really impressed if we can move Jeffries. Pretty sure he has a trade kicker or something terrible.we put in the deal to keep the Wiz from matching.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

as long as the Knicks don't trade the Kings Nate Robinson....I got a feeling that he's being discussed. Kings don't have a point guard and a team with Nate, Kevin Martin, Greene, Thompson, and Hawes would be pretty awesome in the next few years.

He makes like 5million more then Rose, who else are the knicks going to add to that deal???

Jefferies fits right in the slot.

Right

no i don't think so... he's got a trade kicker that makes his contract equivalent to about a $7 mil dollar cap hit to any team that's trading for him... it would have to be a part of a larger deal.

Jefferies fits right in the slot.

Yeah, so does Nate Robinson, Chandler, Lee or Gallinari. I hope the Knicks don't trade away any of those guys for Brad Miller. Tim Thomas, Q Rich, J.James or Jared Jeffries

Heck Brad Miller and Kenny Thomas for Stephon Marbury

There is no way in hell that Walsh is giving up Nate, Chandler, or Lee for some washed up Brad Miller. Thats not even in an option. Why waste bandwidth?

It would be a real coup if we can package JJ2 with Malik for Miller.

3.4 assists per game is pretty impressive for a center. And he's an intimidating black man.

Hahn said this is a false rumor and the 2 teams haven't even talked.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Marbury & A. Roberson
for
Miller & Bobby Jackson

works also and it would give us a backup point guard. We move Marbury w/o having to buy him out.

I think Knicks should let Marbury's contract expire. Unless it brings back a superstar in return that is the only time you trade his contract.
