why should Utah throw in something on a deal to help the Knicks? they'd want us to suck as much as possible.

I like this idea since Yao went down and it saves the Rockets money. Im don't like the idea of wilson being thrown in but in a Lebron-Bosh team he ain' never gonna see the ball anyway. But still, keep it financial and Eddy for T-mac. Eddy playing well only makes this even doable. Eddy can turn into Wilt for all I care, cuz we get that contract off the books we are looking good.

Jeffries contract might be easy to move later in the year.

Knicks and Nyests would both have incredible cap space next year.

This is getting very intersting!

Best case-- McGrady meshes and takes the veteran minimum next year, stays healthy in a limited role, and we win everything, get LeBron. McGrady, if healthy, would be an INCREDIBLE role player.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Houston might bite because Nate is currently better than McGrady and doing either of these trades saves them a lot of money next season. When you take into account the penalty for being over the cap, the actual money the Rockets saved could be as much as twice the bellow listed “Money saved for Rockets” figure. With this move the Rockets could maybe even get under the salary cap next year. The Rockets would also make more money on selling Nate Robinson jerseys than they currently can selling McGrady jerseys because Nate is probably at the height of his popularity and most people who would consider purchasing a Houston T Mac jersey probably already have one. The Knicks would do this to free up money for 2010, get a legit shooting guard, acquire a local legend in Rafer to supplement Duhon.

Player 09/10 10/11
T Mac 23,239,561 0
Rafer 5,250,000 0

Nate 2,911,077 0
Jefferies 6,466,600 6,883,400
Marbury 0 0
Q Rich 9,352,500 0
M. Rose 0 0

Under trade scenario 1:
09/10 10/11
Contracts Knicks acquire 28,489,561 0
Contracts Rockets acquire 9,377,677 6,883,400
*Money saved for Rockets 19,111,884 -6,883,400

Under trade scenario 2:
09/10 10/11
Contracts Knicks acquire 28,489,561 0
Contracts Rockets acquire 18,730,177 6,883,400
*Money saved for Rockets 9,759,384 -6,883,400

(*Note: money saved assumes none of the players are re-signed)

if it gives you room for 2+ Max players, then yes, trade those ghosts
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
