Williams looks good in the highlight reel... I find it hard to pick a player when you are projected between the 10th and 14th pick. I would prefer to draft a PG and get a vet SG. I would really look to get a guy like Rubio or Jennings, guys with a lot of upside, and see if you can't get Kidd or Nash on the MLE to show them the ropes. But, I figure both Jennings and Rubio will go much higher than our pick. If we end up with a late lotto pick and neither PG is on the board, I'd prefer to trade the pick with one of 2010 contracts for cap relief.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Watch how Terrance Williams will explode on these mocks. He's upper tier talent. He'll be a better % player in the NBA and he's got the best 2G Body in the draft.
In terms of the Knicks--well he would be the best athlete on the team. He's a willing passer, ferocious perimeter defender. He's a true 6-6 225 with tier 1 athletic ability. He'a great rebounder. Teh only thing that seperates T Williams from being a top 3 pick in this draft is his jumpshot consistency that happens to be getting much better Y-y game to game. I will be quiet and you can watch where he goes

I'm not familiar with the guy, but I'm very unimpressed with what I read. Williams looks like he'll be a role player in the nba. He shoots about 60% from the three throw line and has finally got his 3 point shooting up to 36%. That sounds ok for an nba player, but for a college player shooting the college 3 in his senior year, it's not. Basically, he'll be a shooting guard who can't shoot - maybe a half step up from Mardy Collins.

If Williams has no jumpshot and his defense is anything short of Bruce Bowen like, then I'm really not interested, with a high pick. We could have just kept Renaldo Balkman or sign PEJ.

If I'm picking up a big shooting guard with a high pick, then I want an all around impressive player with the defense. Someone who can shoot. If it's really improving though, then I'd go for it. Is Williams a smart player?

I think his pro potential is well above Mardy. The thing that Williams has going for him is he is a physical beast. He dominates other 2 guards with athletic ability and strength. Jerome Dyson for Uconn isn't the greatest player in the world but he is an athletic freak who plays physical and never gives in to anyone.. Terrence Williams made him look like a little kid. At one point you could see in Jerome's eyes that he did not want any part of Terrence. He's done that to many other 2 guards. I think he's 10+ year contributor. That being said his ceiling will be determined by his jumpshot. If it remains as poor as it is he will be a liability and you are right, it will probably keep him in the good defense/kill in the open court role player category. Which isn't a horrible category to be in.

It really depends on the team you are building. If we have some offensive firepower at other positions than a guy like Terrence would fit in pretty well. Tough to tell at this point though with our roster being so unsettled.

That is his physical and athletic comparison. 6-6 and a muscular 225 with a 40 inch vertical. He's a unique player because of his rebounding passing and defensive abilities. But any NBA person can see that he can also get you 20-25 points on any given night. He's going to be a much better % player in the NBA. His shooting is getting better every day and I cant see any reason why it wont get better in the pros. If he was able to shoot 36-37% from 3 in the pros--that's a good number.
