4949 - you are correct. What goes around comes around, except of course for the Chicago Cubs. I look forward to the 3 following bright moments:

1. the Knicks making the playoffs in 2009, eighth seed is fine with me so long as da yoots get a taste of the intensity

2. A legit center in 2010

3. Making the Eastern Conference Finals in 2011

Everybody knows The Mayor will be an All-Star in 2012, so what's the problem?

Don't know. Everything seems to be going according the plan so far. I think everyone, including D'Antoni has taken a cautionary stance with this team and maybe, just maybe they are finally responding to their potential. Ooopps! There I go again. Let's just all take it one step at a time and enjoy what we can. lol
I'll never trust this' team again.

Why do you do this to yourself?

1. One more bad losing streak we're right back to being 2-3 games out and struggling to catch back up.
2. Yes, those are easy to find, no brainer lol.
3. Actually, if all goes well, 2011/2012 would be the season to expect to potentially reach the ECF not before.

Chandler? LOL. If Chandler is going to be any more than a role playing bench player he's going to have to become more aggressive. Right now he plays lazy far too often, makes way too many stupid unforced errors, is far too content to take what's given to him. He needs to do more than the one-a-week aggressive move to the rim. Your expectations of Wilson Chandler are outrageous and downright unfair.

Gee misterearl, you've outdone yourself. This thread is even dumber than the first time you posted it. Congrats.

Why in the world are you still stuck on 9,999???

He wants 10,000 to be special. Somewhere along the line of Gallo being a bust.

i say isles should be stuck in perpetual 9999 status until he finally says something positive about the franchise.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

The Answer Man Does Unto Others As They Would Have The Answer Man Do Unto Them

Q. Cosmic - Why do you do this to yourself?

A. Probably because I ain't worried about anything except paying the rent. The only thing I'm doing to myself is brushing my teeth, combing my hair and washing under my armpits.

1. One more bad losing streak we're right back to being 2-3 games out and struggling to catch back up.

Please re-read 7815

2. Yes, those are easy to find, no brainer lol.

In Donnie Walsh we trust

3. Actually, if all goes well, 2011/2012 would be the season to expect to potentially reach the ECF not before.

When does it EVER go "well" in Knicksland? Have you been paying attention for the last 35 years? Expect the unexpected. Which is precisely why the Knicks quick step to consistency will be fun to watch

Q. Chandler?

A. Yes Chandler.

wait is this actually true? martin and andrew are leaving you on 9999 until you say something positive? finally i learn something in a mr earl thread!

sorry, mr earl, but this is a tad premature. if the NYK can go 2-2 before the all-star break, then this thread has SOME merit. but we'd be lucky to go 1-3. indiana is gonna toy with us.

What do I look like, The Amazing Kreskin?

"sorry, mr earl, but this is a tad premature. if the NYK can go 2-2 before the all-star break, then this thread has SOME merit. but we'd be lucky to go 1-3. indiana is gonna toy with us."

crzym - it's not about the record over the next four games. It is about watching the game within the game, or outside of the game as it were. For me, Hell Week is about the following 6 things:

1. Do the Knicks resort to individual play after falling behind by 20 points or do they share the ball?

2. Do they get rattled by Kobe or does The Mayor get in his face?

3. How well do they play with a lead?

4. Will the insertion of Danilo Gallinari open up the interior for more drives to the rack?

5. How many double-doubles does the entertaining tandem of Duhon and Lee manufacture?

6. How does D'Antoni adjust his shift lines against the Celtics?

The upcoming week is about taking another mini-measure of how well the 9 guys in the rotation are cohering as a team..

Of course this thread is a tad premature, I'm a Knicks fan, not a palm reader. I'm not an advocate for moral victories but still, they can go 0-4 and still benefit from the experience so long as their leadership on the sideline and in the locker room can keep its collective head up.

It's a long season

Well i've waited long enough to jump in here and give my usual KOOL AID state of the Knicks union address. I've been kicked around for saying I believe in the young talent on this team and finally the counting of eggs before they hatch has proved to be a safe bet. These Knicks do indeed have talent and we can win more than we've shown in the last 3 yrs. I owe it all to MDA and his great coaching along with knowing he didn't want Steph to be part of this, but instead pegged Duhon long before anyone else caught on to be the right guy to lead this team. Once again I'll ask where all those fans both here and in chicago who called him Doo Doo are? He's shovin all of your faces in it this year!!!

It's time for all true believers to CROW like the ROOSTER!!! Lovers stand up and have you time in the Sun. No matter what happens at the end of this season, i've seen enough to know that this team is finally headed in a good direction. We've all seen the flashes of spectacular play and now we're seeing it for full games and that has to feel good. Let's hope they can finish this Pacer game strong and move on to the next game on a high.

Is It In You?

nixluva - you have been beaten back so many times that you could be getting your drinks mixed up. It may NOT be kool-ade being served up by these young and confident Knicks, but Powerade.

When the ball moves as it has been doing recently, in certain stretches of the last six games especially, one can see a playing personality taking shape.

The mental mistakes, which inevitably happen, are being masked by aggressive defense and more moments of trust on offense. Sure, its only Indiana, but the Knicks never faltered when they were pushed and the Pacers made their run.

The fun part will be to watch how the Knicks withstand the inevitable runs manufactured by talented, championship-calibre teams.

May The Garden be loud enough to make the banners in the rafters flutter.

I think now would be the perfect time to give Isiah an extension.

29 assists prelude to Hell Week

"They know they better get (the Pacers) one because they might not get the other three. That's why this game is important for us." "This is a big week for us," D'Antoni said. "We've got a lot of statement games coming up. Let's see if we can do it. We know the teams we're going up against are really, really good."

“We’ve gotten to a point where we’ve turned the corner a little bit [after] all of the trades,” Richardson said. “Everybody got healthy.”

(Unfortunately, jared Jefrries will be missed if he cannot go)

"Those are three very good teams, but luckily we don't have to play all three at one time," said David Lee, who had 23 points and 17 rebounds. "You know, we don't have to see Kobe, LeBron and Paul Pierce on the floor at the same time. We'll give it our best effort and I think we'll be OK."
