I would drop Lee and Nate right now. I don't think the Knicks can fool around with the 2010 situation. There is no guarantee that Jefferies and Curry can be moved especially Curry if he never gets on the court. If the Knicks are smart they should be willing to sacrifice Lee and Nate to make sure a superstar is on the Knicks.

that's what i'm sayin' dude... all this talk about how we gotta hold onto these guys is bunk IMO... we need to shoot for the stars, not try to hold onto guys that are good but will never be superstars... superstars bring u championships... u can fill in the rest after u get the players u wanna build around... first thing's first in my book.

17 days....
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

If you really want to get rid of Eddy I think the Heat would seriously consider this deal:

Danillo/Nate/Curry for Shawn Marion
-let Marion expire or do a sign and trade in the offseason

the heat would rather have eddy at $10 mil and nate at $5 mil in 2010 than a chance at bosh?

What does that get us? More room in 2010? Its not quite that important.

Marion's gone after this year, and then where are you?

It would be nice (if we have to trade Lee) if we could move him for McGee, but you look at the Wiz' list of contracts and they have basically nothing coming off of the books in the next couple of years, so I doubt they're looking to sign another player to a big deal like they would have to with Lee.

Lakers are open to doing a trade apparently. I wonder if they would do Farmar (2010 expiring) and a pick for Nate?

No idea what Nate's value is out there. I imagine some teams would love him and some teams would hate him.

Why the need to trade Nate and Lee? Sign them in offseason and dump jeffries/Curry next year.

When you write it like that it sounds so easy.

his contract goes on till 2010/2011 so i don't think anybody would trade for him.

looks like pheonix may blow it up...so nash + amare could be possibilities. i don't think it will happen but bosh is another name coming up. but if bosh is dealt, i can see it happening on draft night or the summer.

It seems insane that Phoenix is trying to trade Amare. What can they possibly get back for him of the same value?

Would Portland trade Aldridge? Chicago for one of their bigs and Deng? Seems crazy. I wouldn't do it.

I have a feeling that were going to see massive moves--to the point where it may affect major players in the 2010 free agent market. If Miami is successful trading for an Amare Stuodemire or Chicago gets Chris Bosh--the whole market will be flipped over. I think some of these teams are going to try to get their value back now rather than waiting if they think their guy will bolt.

Briggs, you're right on. I worry that will happen and Donnie will be left standing there with jaw on the floor.

1 week, 5 days...
