Bosh and Joe Johnson = win.

I would be disappointed if the Knicks didn't get Wade or LBJ... but I think I'd get over that sentiment pretty damned quick with those two

Word!

IT's like the poor guy who has a lottery ticket that is guaranteed to win $100,000 or $1,000,000. He scratches the ticket and wins $100,000. For some reason he is disappointed. The $100,000 still changed his life for the better but he is just having trouble seeing all the possibiliites.

We all want Lebron. We all want LEbron and some other superstar. But if we don't get him and we spend fair market value on players that improve our team and still leave us flexibility to improve further, then we really don't have a complaint. But the media is painting it that Lebron is the only option, and many of us are falling pray to that thought.
I just hope that people will like me

I'm going to be my normal cheerful respectful self regardless of what happens. I don't believe in knee jerk reactions, especially based on incomplete and/or inaccurate information.

I'm not putting all my eggs in the LeBron basket. Obviously, he would be the ideal signing, but we got Bosh, I'd be very happy. I know he's not the savior, but he's a pretty good start. We'd have money a year or two after anyways to sign another max player because of Curry/Jeffries coming off the cap.

We'd have much cap space that we'd be able to sign bosh AND somebody else. Maybe joe smith.

Duhan

Smith

Chandler

Lee

Bosh

Bench= gallo, nate, jeffries

This roster you're proposing is impossible you understand?

If we use up the cap space on Max players, then there's no Nate, and no Duhon.

That would require trading Jeffries or Curry for an expiring.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Just because we sign 2 big name players does'nt mean we're out of money.

Haha... yes, the Salary Cap... remember that?

Thing is, if we can't get LeBron, aren't we better off taking advantage of all the teams that are trying to get him and take their good players for below market value and keep Lee and Nate?

Bosh and Joe Johnson are not signing for anything less than the Max

Especially when several teams will have cleared cap room for players just like them

This would be your 2010 roster
Bosh - Joe Johnson - Chandler - TheRooster - 09 pick - Curry - Jeffries

you would have to fill out the roster with players signed to the league minimum based on my understanding of the rules

So your saying its impossible to start them off at about 15/18mil per w/raises every year?
And your so saying its impossible for walsh to rid curry's and/or fishlips' contracts in the next 18 months?
Now if he could do the that then he may be able to hold onto lee also.

maybe possible but highly unlikely... Curry is worthless right now until he shows he can be productive again, & Jefferies has a trade kicker which makes him virtually untradeable as well... Walsh was only able to unload Zach because he was putting up great numbers this year... i don't think he can work miracles to get rid of Jefferies & Curry, but if he manages that he should be voted GM of the decade.
