I don't think that trade will happen because the current management and coach are not interested in having a traditional or even a franchise center. That is why Lopez, Thompson and McGee were not drafted. That is also why Lee and Jeffries are playing center.

I left out the word 'never' in the first sentence when I typed my reply.

It's All Hypothetical

But here is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the future truth

5 - Chris Bosh (forget Lebron, you can't teach height and Toronto is too damn cold in Jan)
4 - David Lee (his 4th season is proving to be his epiphany, show him the money)
3 - Danilo Gallinari (in three years he will be averaging 17.1 and 6.9)
2 - Wilson Chandler (in two years he will average 18.3 and 9.5)
1 - Chris Duhon (excellent temperment and a warrior, solid if not spectacular - keep him)

Bench:

09 draft pick F Greg Monroe (you can never have too many of those Georgetown dudes)
Al Harrington ('sup Jersey?)
best Summer league guard available
best center from 2010 draft
Patrick Ewing Jr (just because)

that's ten

Rationale: Any additional free agent transaction is a bonus. I'm not with the greed of dreaming for two max free agents. Lee stays. Why not sign him as he finds his voice? Dreaming for two max free agents is just plain greedy. One is enough from the class of 2010 and for me that realistic option, THAT one, is Bosh.

Footnote. Huge no to Marcus Williams - he cannot guard a statue

A little side note regarding the Jazz - I read today that their owner, Larry Miller, had to have both his legs aputated as a result of ongoing "diabetes-related health issues." He's only 64 years old. Sad to hear that. Man what can you say? Here's hoping that he's able to live as comfortable and happy a life as possible from here on in.

That's horrible news. You get older--you break down and there is no way to stop it.

In terms of basketball I still believe these teams can be trading partners. We have the fire power from the wings and the tax relief they need for next year. They have a quality back up C and our draft pick back that could very well interest the NY Knicks. They have Okur at C and have two back ups Fasenko and Koufus. I think an exchange of Nate Chandler and Rose +3mm for Koufus Harpring and our pick back. That saves Utah athleast 6.8mm in salary and possibly as much as an additional 6.8mm in luxuray tax. That gives them offensive firepower they don't have in Nate and Chandler off their bench--or you could put Chandler into Miles spot in the rotation which makes them bigger on the D. Usually a trade has to have some give and take. We could acquire a C that I think would really fit in here perfect and just use Harpring to replace Chandler for the year. You can find another Chandler or better in this draft loaded with wings and guards. That is a HUGE $$ package with nice talent going back to Utah at a period of time hwre they probably want to concentrate on bagging future payroll but also giving them a jump start for the playoffs that has been slipping.

They have no bench--they could've beaten the Spurs with Nate--

come on Utah

Nate and Malik Denver 2 rounder

for Koufus Harpring and our pick back.
