BTW, is James White still affiliated with the Spurs? Cause if not, he's leaidng the NBDL in scoring and is 6-7 200 with significant hops and can be had for very cheap.

i brought him up at the beginning of the season as a guy we shoulda brought in instead of Roberson & people told me he was garbage.

James White might be the best dunker in the world. He lost the High School dunk contest to David Lee a few years ago, but this guy has some serious hops:

I agree with Vdesai. Maybe this kid has a lot of potential, but he's been cut by a lot of teams and he hasn't done much with what he has, and I don't think it has much to do with lack of opportunities. He'll have flashes, but he doesn't seem like he's going to bust out anytime soon. To top it off, we already have Chandler, Gallo and even Harrington and Thomas. This kid isn't going to get a chance to play. He's not a fit.

how do u figure when none of those 4 are SG's & Green is? we've been shorthanded at the 2 ever since we made the Jamal & Zach trade because Mobley was unable to play.

Disagree totally. How can you show anything at all in 11 mins. a game? The kid's talent is obvious - he played well in the summer league for the Mavs with plenty of mins. didn't he? I think he averaged almost 18 ppg on over 40% from 3. What did Jerryd Bayless show this season so far before Steve Blake got hurt? Nothing. Why? Because he wasn't getting the time. I just read on some other thread someone bashing Bayless because he was averaging 6 ppg on a low % from the floor and from 3. What the heck are you basing that on???? The kid doesn't play!!! Speaking of summer league play, Bayless was stellar for the Blazers - he was the Vegas MVP. The other night against the Nets, Bayless gets a nice run and responds with a 20 pt. game including something like 11-11 from the FT line. You don't judge a young player's potential on a little sample of garbage mins. every couple of games. It's worthless to even attempt to analyze a player's ability based on almost nonexistent PT like that. Come on now. LOL. Same idea with Gerald Green - getting traded by several teams so far is alarming I'll grant you, but I still feel like he can still have a nice productive career ahead of him provided he finds his niche with the right team. His size and overall skill level in a D'Antoni-run system could be a wicked combination. I could think of a lot worse players out there to try and piece together a roster with on the cheap. If the Mavs give up on him and he becomes available, provided we can come up with a roster spot, I'm all for bringing him here. We couldn't use a guy with Gerald Green's potential?? We suck!

Yeah, truth is if Green were truly awesome he wouldn't have been cut by 3-4 teams already.

Some people don't get it. Call it what you want, grass is greener, the dog and the bone or whatever.
