Wow Cosmic sure does like saying those 4 numbers over and over and over and over and over and over. It's this case for at least half the league. We're have no more special a plan than anyone else.

haha

Except, we're New York. Half the league might want to play.... only a few select cities could win. We're one of them. Anyone going to the Thunder in 2010? Did not think so. Craptors? Nope. BoobKittens? Nope. Minny? LOL nope. Etc....

Do I bank on 2 max FA's in 2010? Nope. But, our hat is in the ring, and that's all we can ask for. If it fails we have plenty of flexibility to build a team from who else is out there.

No real worries there.

look on the bright side... we weren't supposed to beat Boston, but we lost to a team we clearly shoulda beat in OKL... we're basically even... everyone's just pissed cuz they all got the Gamepicker wrong the past 2 games, be honest.

Yes.

Yea- but I think you need to go back another game to the Pacers that they also should have won & most here picked to win.

So, really, they aren't even- yes, they beat one team they shouldn't have beaten (and after Boston got beat by the bobcats last night, not sure we shouldn't be beating the celts at home), but lost to two they should have won.

Dude we are rebuilding. I know losing to the Thunder is pathetic, even in a rebuilding situation, but it is what it is. This team isn't built to win.

I don't know how you are rebuilding if you give a guy $12 million for 2 years in the off-season. The rebuilding stuff is now being used as an excuse.

Well, we were 7-8 and then the trade came along. Zach and Crawford gone and it may have disrupted that. The opening up cap space was a nice thing. If we are rebuilding and if it's going to disrupt any winning, then that's just the way it's gonna have to be and we're going to have to swallow our pride until 2010.

Then that's the point. An opportunity presented itself to remove salary and was taken but to try and deceive other posters by saying that rebuilding was the gameplan all along is just as insulting as Isiah's "we're rebuilding on the fly" stuff.

Walsh basically said the same thing when he came here, only he fed the fans a bone in saying '2010' like that's some great plan.

Walsh has maintained he wanted to remain as competitive as possible for the next two years.

I'm starting to worry you can't really have it both ways. How are we rebuilding for a 2010 run on big names if there is going to be crap on our roster? LeBron and Bosh are going to want to play with Chandler and Gallo as their main support?

We're 13 & 20 and exposed for what we are- a sucky team. We should stop pretending we're competing and aiming to make the play offs and sell every asset we have for future picks and youth- everyone except maybe Chandler & Gallo until we can figure out what we have with them.

Nate to a contender for a 2010 first rounder & 2009 second rounder.

Lee for some rookies or two future first rounders.

Duhon can be traded. I'm sure there is some NBDL PG out there that can lead us to an additional 10 wins the rest of the season, and they will cost $4.99MM less!

It never ceases to amaze me how when we win a game, all our young players are potential stars, and when we lose a game, we need to get rid of everyone. It is just one game. The team underestimated the Thunder and got burned for it. It is as simple as that.

Our young players are solid role players. Look at the young guys that play in the other jerseys and where they were selected usually affirm what a potential star looks like.

I would take Jeff Green over any forward on this roster right now. Westbrook over any guard.

Danilo is TBD but we all know how great Eric Gordon, Brook Lopez and esp DJ Augustin looks (who I wanted with this pick). Augustin would be the starter on this team. Duhon would not have been acquired and we would have gotten maybe a big guy with the MLE.

We should have taken Granger (drafted 17th) over Frye...he too is better than any forward on this roster and he is consistent!

Rondo over Balkman...and even (and I hate the Celts), bur Kendrick Perkins who actually defends the paint.

Look at Rudy Fernandez...even Batum.

I know we like our young guys (while Nate and David are already in their 4th season - maybe not so young anymore, only their contracts say so), they are good picks for later ones.

When it comes to young talent, we have some but NO WHERE near the calibur of young players in this league. We have more or less decent bench players.

When you watch games look at the younger players on the opposition versus ours...there is a huge difference. That's why you sell high on the "diamonds in the rough." Esp in this system where all of the players' numbers are ridiculously inflated for the most part.

Man, I knew Green was playing well, but I did not realize that he was that good. The dude looks better than Durant in terms of his total game. The Thunder(Sonics) are a team that usually screws up in the draft ,but for the past 2 years, they have really picks some winners. In 2 years, Green, Durant, and Westbrook are going to be a tough combination. If the Thunder can luck up and get Griffin in the 2009 draft, their team will be set.

I have loved Jeff Green since last year and even at G-Town (ask DJSu) and I said he is going to be way more solid than Durant...he does everything and he is does alot very well! He would not only be a real good player on the Knicks but he would be the glue.

This is why I don't know why we are so reluctant to trade up on draft nights. To be honest, if Chicago wanted Lee in the ill-fated Curry deal rather than the pick and then the swap of picks, we should have done that (I forget if that was a rumor but lets just say). We would have had two young studs...Rudy Gay or LM ALdridge anyone (with pick #1) and a #8 lotto pick. We would be so much better with actual pieces that would be on the last year of a rookie deal in 2010 (when their extension would kick in after).

do you love Green as much as you love Crawford? Then we'll know it's real love.
