I don't know who Trip is, but I prefer him to Clyde. Clyde just tries way too hard. It's like he calls games with a thesaurus in front of him.

Kelly Tripucka... one of the original Charlotte Hornets... he was actually a pretty good player back in the day

Not really. He provides no insight like Clyde who talks to the players. It sounds like Trip just flew in to do a National game and flies out. I don't recall if I ever heard him say this player identified this or that like Clyde or what they are working on. Not personable enough for me.

All it's done is leave their good players wide open all night long.

You mean he's like Clyde..without the idiotic mismatched try-to-hard words with a second pause between each thesaurus looked up word?

Clyde is a joke, which is fitting, I guess, to a joke franchise such as this.

for those with league pass, charlotte is playing boston TOUGH. tied at 85 in the 4th with 7 mins to go...strike that, charlotte just took the lead, 88-85 bobcats with 6:40 to go...

Cosmic, you have a real soft spot for Duhon. The guy can't guard any man on the court and has 4 unforced turnovers and you want to call out David Lee.

Actually Clyde provides more than either Trip or Breen. Clyde predicts actually want the player is going to do. How many times have I heard "you were right, Clyde". Follow by a "yep" You got to know the players you are covering and Trip doesn't seem to know what these players are thinking or what is their strong point. Breen is there to throw roses at the officials.

Wow, really? You guys hate Clyde that much? Clyde is very good at pointing out what players could have done to be better, what they did that was wrong, and what they should be doing. The color commentary is a bit much at times but he knows the game and he does a very good job passing it on to you. Or, well, Me..I guess.

Tripuka does nothing different, except, there's no color commentary, it's just straight commentary.

One other thing with Tripuka...he doesn't let Breen just own the telecast. Think about it...with Clyde - Breen just takes over the telecast to an annoying level - going off on topics that have nothing to do with the game - even ignoring the game for minutes at a time. Tripuka seems to prevent this and keep Breen on topic.
