Actually Eny, the video you put up of Strick the sick was great. Too bad he got exposed by the woman who the perv exposed himself to, in the hotel hallway.
I'll never trust this' team again.

All of the championship Knicks, with the exception of Earl the Pearl, would kvetch at playing in D'Antoni's system. They'd be clamping down on defense and working the ball around on offense looking for the best shot despite the shot clock and D'Antoni would be wondering why they were wasting energy and time. Stop insulting them like that. For this exercise they should be omitted from consideration.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Frazier (PG/SG - 19 pts/6 assts - run & gun, half court, defense)
Monroe (SG - 19 pts/4 assts - run & gun, half court, defense)
Michael Ray Richardson (PG/SG - 15 pts/7assts/5rebs - run & gun, defense, scorer)
John Starks (SG - 12 pts/4 assts - run & gun, streaky shooter, defense)
Sly Williams (G/F - 10 pts - guard/SF mentality, defense, runs and does what is asked)
Willis Reed (F/C - 18 pts/13 rebs - half court sets, defense, scorer)
Ewing (C - 21 pts/9 rebs/2 blks - half court, can run, defense)
Debusshere (PF - 16 pts/11 rebs - defense, half court)
King (SF - 22 pts/6 rebs - run & gun, can score at will)
Charles Oakley (PF - 10 pts/10 rebs - hard core defender, can score, rebounds)
Bill Bradley (SF - 12 pts - half court sets, can run, defense)
Bob McAdoo (PF/SF - 22 pts/9 rebs - B. King Jr., scorer, runs, not a great defender)

There are other interchangeable players but this is what I came up with based on team play and coachability. I didn't initially include 15 players because you can't dress and play 15. But.......G. Wilkins, B. Cartwright, M. Jackson.

Why are you bringing up defense?? What does that have to do with a Mike D'Antoni team?

Briggs - you so crazy

6'6 King at power forward? Yeah right. An evening of defending evil-intentoned behemoths like Kark Malone, Lucious Jackson, Kevin Garnett or Gus Johnson is exactly the matchup Mike D'Antoni prefers for Bernard King.

SFX: giggles

Fifty pushups

I hate to date myself but if you remember Bernard King when he came up with the Nets--he played a hybrid forward and was an excellent rebounder from the position. You are saying Dantoni system.
You put Bernard where Shuan Marion plays--do you remember the young BK?

You do understand the parameters of building this hypothetical team, right? It's not an all time Knicks team, it's not your favorite players or it's not a combination of either. It's about D'Antoni and who he would love to coach. That means offense and no defense. You have Oakley in there, who would never see any playing time under D'Antoni because he doesn't run and isn't a factor on offense.

d'antoni coaches? well, the best lineup will be this:

pg- mark jackson- he would avg. 10 apg no matter what. he would be a delight to watch and would keep sportcenter busy with his fancy showtime passes. he would flourish more than anyone else.

2g- allan houston- he would love the green light to shoot and with the ssol system he would get more opportunities. a younger houston would be athletic to hang. his three point shooting is the main reason why i put him before frazier.

sf- latrell sprewell- you could make an argument about bernard king but who would you like to run the wing on the fast break to ignite the crowd?

pf- david lee- he can run, finish and rebound. what more do you want in this system?

c- marcus camby- he would be an all-star in this system. he can get a lot of blocks from the weak side and he can flourish offensively running up and down the court. ewing is another choice because people forget that this system was similar to pitino which ewing avg. 28 ppg. but marcus would be better suited for this system.
