Yes, I truly believe that. League definitely shapes it's product. That one year was outrageously blatant though. Heat-Mavs. Cavs-Wizards. Earlier ones were Kings-Lakers, Blazers-Lakers.

Hey, the best example is how Bruce Bowen has been allowed to just hack, grab, trip, shove, purposely injure players all this time rarely getting called for it. Why? Tim Duncan is an NBA poster player. That's why.

There was a lot made of it the past six, seven years and it would seem the league has gotten more subtle with how it shapes games. It's still there though and that's pretty sad.

And to think the Jordan Rules seemed terrible. Today that's run of the mill. Jordan wishes he played in the 2000s. Dude would average 40ppg on 18FTAs a game...instead of the 8FTA a game he had as a Bull. Yeah, that's all it was.
