I am glad you recgonize that Jay. Ijust hope that Donnie doesn't let his personal affection for Al lead him to an extension which would effectively eliminate our chances to resign Lee or Nate. That's all Big Al keeps talking about and we all know how personal loyalty by GM's to "any singular" player (see Isiah) has worked out for this team.

People really need to let those two go....and stop acting like Walsh though he was making a power play in acquiring Tim Thomas to propel us to the playoffs this season. Anyone recall his plan? You know, strip down Isiah's trash, and start building a new team in 2010?

People need to stop crying about ZachAss and Crawful. You'd think we traded Tim Duncan and Michael Jordan in their primes the way a few people talk about those trades. You'd think we were going to win 60 games with those idiots on the team the way some people talk and now it's all how we traded two superstars and Walsh sucks.

Back to the topic at hand though. Duhon should have not mentioned teammates by name. If he wants to be a leader, then start using the word "WE". WE played too individual. WE had no energy. WE did not prepare.

Nobody wants to hear "Yeah well, Al and Nate are chuckers, and they're lazy, and it's not MY JOB to change that, I did my job, my teammates didnt help me."

Nobody wants to hear that and that helps nothing. What's he want to do? Divide the locker room after two months?

Duhon has played well overall but his limitations have certainly surfaced the past 5 to 10 games. So I'm not so sure why he's talking about other players not having what it takes.

As Eny pointed out in the other thread: Duhon has been pretty one dimensional on the offense as of late, no adjustments, no creativity when it's needed, either the other team lets him play his game or he's going to play that way even if it's going down in flames.

Maybe Nate and Al should say something about that?

Yeah, that'd be great, right?

So, ya know, you think about it and all I gotta say is, maybe he's right, but don't call out your teammates by name, it makes you look foolish.

There is a correlation between the two players though. Al does a couple of extra things but the 1-1 chuck fest offense is eerily similar in both efficiency (poor) and selfishness (black hole). The player shows an enormous amount of talent one night and then is content to go 2-11 from downtown the next while seemingly oblivious to the fact they have the skill set to be a more dynamic player.

I think Don Nelson said one thing about Al, and it's showing, that he thinks he's a super star, and he's not.

Duhon is right I watch the same game as everyone and a lot of us have noticed a trend where Al is jacking up shots without purpose. Same goes for Nate you got remember nate is playing for contract and he needs his numbers it a fact that NBA players will always be selfish in contract year. Nate should be giving out assists all over the place he is that talented but people look at scoring and that is where Nate will gravitate to since he is looking for a contract.

Funny how Duhon who's probably the best leader on this team calls out two players few fans have had problems with, while the majority of the fan base was giving Kudos to these guys for their play.

if he's calling out players on this team then that means d'antoni has given him a major juice card...

but since he's been here all of 60 days, i could see players on this team saying "who the F do you think you are you eddie munster looking fool?"

There's a right and wrong way to do it- I suspect Duhon or D'Antoni have already approached Nate and Al about this. THe wrong way is to blindside them in the press.
