What are you talking about with Chandler and Harrington? You don't make sense there at all.

i know u don't usually post on game threads but i didn't hear a single mention from you about how badly Wilson Chandler (3 of 10 w/2 FT attempts) or Al Harrington (4 of 14 w/4 FT attempts) were shooting in that game or failed to get to the foul line anywhere on the boards afterwards... if Jamal was still here & had the same kinda night as those guys, i guarantee you & every other Jamal basher on this forum would be all over the boards talking about how much of a garbage player he was in your eyes.

& here u are ragging on people for pointing out when Jamal goes & scores 50 pts. for his new team while going 17 of 18 from the charity stripe (i thought he was afraid of contact???) & taking even more digs at Jamal's game... yeah, he went 3 of 15 shooting the game before that... & the game before that he scored 29 pts. w/9 rebounds & 4 assists... that's what he is, a streaky shooter who can go off on any given night, & that's all i or anyone else who's ever supported Jamal have said ever said about him... but for some reason u get severely offended whenever someone ever brings up his name in any positive manner whatsoever around here... it's puzzling... u talk about people being cult followers of this guy, if u ask me if there's anyone who's obsessed w/Jamal Crawford around here, it's you.

I wasn't even around here for the Laker game. I missed the game entirely.

Chandler is a role player not a guy touted to be a franchise player like Crawful was. That's why Crawful gets crapped on when he did poorly and Chandler didn't. Besides, Chandler is a 2nd year player and Crawful a 9th year player. Chandler also does more on the court so he gets more leeway if he has a bad shooting night. Big difference here.

Harrington? He's really a PF version of Crawful but more efficient and does more on the court. So again, there's a difference here, and I'm not sold on Harrington being here past 2010 anyway.

Obsessed with Jamal? No, probably just obsessed with telling Jamal fans they're a little off the deep end because they sound like they're talking about Michael Jordan in his prime. It just makes it funnier when it happens because Jamal had 1 good game out of 5.

I find it funny after the trades, after Al has played much better, and after Crawful continues to show why he's Crawful, that even now when he has his usual good game out of nowhere it's brought up and an attempt is made to rub it in the faces of those who are ecstatic he's gone.

Honestly, why do people care? He's a bum now and was always a bum before. Nothing has changed. He's also a Warrior. We're also vastly improved with out him and also without his 2011 year on our books.

What's not to like all around?

Yea, he's a good player as long as he's on any other team than the one I'm rooting for, you're right.

And Knicksfan's post is funny.

See, you got it.

Oh God! We should've kept him! Imagine that man dropping 50 for us? We would've followed that almost 7-3 start with a strong run, we would be atop the Eastern Conference! Oh, but we hurried in dealing him and now he will make the Warriors the second best team in the West, after the Clippers, of course!

Imagine having a guy like Zach Randolph, who is the best PF in the league, way above Chris Bosh, with a guy like Crawford! In D'Antoni's system they would be awesome!

Ohh well, the Knicks are doomed now...

he should come off the bench and help bring up the ball. help move the ball around. he should get minutes if a team is down 10+ points late to see if he can get on one of those shooting streaks. and he should stay on the court if he's hitting shots.

but if he's not, he should be sitting. so some nights he will play 30-35 mins, some nights he will play 10-15 mins. so he should average around 20-25 mins a night on a decent team.

i don't like him at all. but if his role is limited, he can help a team win games.

The Knicks should just sell the franchise because there is definitely no hope. We wont sign anyone in the future and we will lose our players for nothing so why even try?

Lets all give up!

Alright, here's the answer to the question:

According to ESPN, Crawford becomes just the fourth player in league history to score at least 50 points for three different teams, joining the likes of Wilt Chamberlain (Warriors, 76ers, Lakers), Bernard King (Warriors, Knicks, Bullets), and Moses Malone (Rockets, Bullets, 76ers).

Good for Crawful, he gets to be mentioned alongside players who are 1,000x the player he ever was.

I love it. This BUM isn't even on the team anymore, and when he has his 1 good game per week his fans come singing his praises.

Where were you guys when he was 3-15 the other night? Yeah, the same place you guys always are when he's doing that. Patiently waiting for that one in five game outburst so you can sing his praises.

Hey, I can understand liking him for being a 'nice guy' and being wooed by a few flashy moves and wanting him to succeed as a Knick but I have NEVER seen such a terrible player have such a huge cult following. It's just insane to me.

Well, I guess for a change, nobody will spout off about ZachAss tonight going 2-11 while the Clippers got murdered by the Bucks.

Woah, simmer down now!

I specifically said that I wasnt impressed by his performance. We all know how inconsistant and frustrating a player he is, and my thread wasnt to praise his performance.

I just wanted to know if he was the first guy to hit 50 for 3 different teams. Any idea, or simply looking for a fight? Flame on!!

Nah I know what you were saying. I was replying to TMS and those that still somehow think Crawful is some amazing talent that we should have never let go.

I have plenty of hope. It's now a foregone conclusion that Bosh, Wade, LeBron, and Amare will all re-sign with their local teams and no other FAs will come to play in New York.

However, there is hope on the horizon, for the 2011 FA class has superstars Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford. All we have to do is offer both the max, of which they definitely deserve since they are so undervalued, and once they're locked up for 6 years back in orange and blue we just sit back and let the rings roll in.

GO KNICKS!

Seriously, there is no foregone conclusion but that NY is in the right path of rebuilding. Some here just lack so much patience that they need to believe that no player will be available in 2010, we wont sign our own free agents and everything is doomed.

But thats SO far from the truth! We just have to be patient. The Knicks aren't done this season. There surely will be another trade before the deadline. Who knows how the team will look like after this season, let alone the 2010 team. SO many things can happen that its crazy to assume anything is a foregone conclusion.

We have to wait.

Whether is in 2010, 2011 or so, the Knicks will be a better team and closer to contention than recent history.

Exactly....and I have no problem waiting when the players who are here play hard and play with chemistry together. They might get overpowered most nights but at least they're a fun team to watch. Can't say that about any of the last 4 seasons.

Ehhh... let's get a grip. Craw is what he is but we weren't going anywhere with him and we definitely got the better end of that deal. I'm happy that he's having some success on his current team. Let's move on.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

i'm gonna ask u again to read up on where i stand on the Jamal trade before commenting again on where u think i stand... otherwise stop referring to how i feel about this issue cuz i don't appreciate having my opinions misrepresented.

http://ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=28999&page=1

as for defending Jamal on this forum, i wasn't the one to create this thread & those "Jamal followers" u like to diss on didn't either... firefly admittedly said he's not a fan of Jamal Crawford & prefaced his thread w/this:
Hey, I dont miss him that much, he always has games like this once in a while, in between 2-16 efforts.

where in this thread do u see people harping over the fact that Jamal's gone & wishing we'd never made the trade? please point it out to me cuz i don't see it anywhere... u keep generalizing & dissin' on people who like Jamal whenever the topic comes up to reflect how much u can't stand the guy... it seems like an unnatural obsession if u ask me... no one here is crying about losing Jamal Crawford... NO ONE... that's a figment of your imagination.

I know you have said you're on board with trading him for the "greater good" yet that's not the argument between you and I. The argument is you've come at me in a hurry because I call him a bum and you happen to like him as a player.

It's all good on that front, but, I just can't understand why anyone likes him as a player let alone sticks up for him with so much venom that they call people out on all their opinions on all players in the entire team or NBA just because they don't like Crawful and his crap game.

And, this also brings up another question: If you love the guy so much why are you so fine with trading him away? That's another thing I don't understand.

The guy is a straight up BUM. Are you sucked into his "nice guy" attitude? Which really amounts to nothing more than bullcrap hustler speak cause he never ever delivered on his words.......

?

I just don't understand. So you're saying you're happy he's gone, but, you're peeved at fans like me for saying he's a piece of garbage as an NBA player? Which, well, HE IS?

let me just tell u that my favorite Knick player of alltime was John Starks... does that mean i wasn't happy when we traded him for Spree? i realize it was made for the greater good of our franchise, & my loyalty to the Knicks takes precedence over any loyalty i might have for any individual player, whether we're talking about Starks, Allan Houston, Charlie Ward, Jamal, David Lee, Nate or whoever else on this team who've been favorites of mine over the years.

contrary to your belief, i realize every single flaw in Jamal's game & have long since accepted them... i don't expect him to be a superstar & don't go apesh_it when he doesn't come through w/35 points every night & carry this team offensively like you do... unlike u however, i don't think he's a garbage player & don't find it necessary to keep harping on the weaknesses of his game weeks after he's no longer a member of this franchise... i know he's extremely streaky & inconsistent, & never should have been looked upon to be the premier scoring option to begin with... i don't blame Jamal for that, i blame Isiah... for Jamal's part i thought he did an admirable job w/his skillset to try & take on that role whenever he could... definitely not to meet the expectations that fans like u had for him but i never had such high expectations for him to be the star of this team to begin with... i always considered him a good secondary scoring option to have... unfortunately the guy who i did expect to shoulder that load both offensively & as a leader for this team when we traded for him severely disappointed me & now that he's been banished from this team i couldn't be happier... i don't think i need to tell u who i'm referring to here, it's pretty obvious.

& just where do u see me spitting venom at you for your opinions? if there's anyone spitting venom it's more likely you since u'r downgrading anyone who has ever supported or defended him just because you yourself don't happen to like him as a player... i never said u don't have a right to not like the guy, i just don't agree when u call him garbage... i think he's a very talented basketball player w/plenty of flaws in his game just like plenty of other players in the NBA who i might not particularly like or dislike... when he was a member of the Knicks he provided some of the few exciting moments i've been able to experience as a fan of this team during the past few lean years w/his game winning shots, & for that i'm appreciative of what he was able to give us... now he's gone & i have no problem w/that cuz i also think Al Harrington is a great fit for this franchise & have always felt that way.

Jamal Tonight: 8-22FG, 0ast, 3TOs. He's a stah, baby!

I call him garbage because he IS garbage. He is used as if he's a star franchise player and that has been one major reason his teams lose a lot of games. You can't play this guy more than 20 minutes a game off the bench otherwise you destroy your team. He can't play like that off the bench otherwise he pouts and is actually WORSE in that role. So he's completely USELESS as an NBA player! He's now pulling the same crap in Golden State.

Most people believe that Crawford is a terrible player it's only a select few that still choose to defend him, like yourself for instance, for reasons that aren't understandable by people like me for instance, who had been fed up for years watching this clown sink us time and again.

There is just nothing to defend with this guy and I watch in amazement when people try to and then get upset with those that call him trash.

****************

Here's some bites from the GS thread for tonights game, I was just making sure I wasn't delusional, and wasn't the only person in the world that thought Crawful was Awful, so I scanned tonights GS-ORL game thread.

These are from EIGHT different Warrior fans. It's quite funny actually because it sounds just like Chicago and New York game threads when this BUM was here and in CHI. I'm content watching him destroy another fanbase's faith in the game of basketball. It's pretty funny.

crawford is awful today

He needs to move full speed out of the gate. He hesitates way too much early on in games.

OMG crawford

Why is Crawford still in the game? He's the reason why the team is playing so poorly on the offensive end right now.

ever time that crawford touches the ball is a shot .

by him obviously

With Crawfords handles he should be an awesome pass first PG... I hate the And1 era.

And Nelly rewards him by keeping him in the game. I would have taken him out after he tried shooting the ball over Dwight Howard in traffic.

And Crawford is legitimately retarded on defense.

did crawford just decide on cherry picking instead of contesting a shot?

crawford is dumbest player in nba . he akes every single shot

maybe if Crawford had the half of the brain and basketball IQ than Belinelli has , he won't be remembered like bigger loser in NBA history

crawford is being crawful today which is much worse than randolph because he's hurting the team

retarded crawford PASS THE **** BALL

It's painful to watch Crawford and Buike defend on the perimeter. Not to mention their iso offense.

crawful=awful

Funny. Craw 6-17, 3-5 3s. Explain that one.

great game by crawful. with 5 seecs in the clock, you pass the ball? men you are a piece of ****

Crawford is quite possibly the worst perimeter defender i've ever seen.

Crawford is cancer .

EVERY THREE THAT THEY SHOOT ALONE IS CRAWFORD'S FAULT.

crawful is becoming a volume shooter tonight...god

Crawford got yanked for chucking!!! The Gimmick is dead!!!!

nellie is just trying to save crawford's energy for tommorow's game so he can chuck more. If he doesnt have any energy then he wont chuck it up

and in chicago, in new york, and if you change Tony Allen for Jamal Cancerford , Celts will be a 22-60 team.

crawful is a d leager or at least plays like one. i dont know how some of you guys say crawford knows when hes sucking ass. he was sucking early in the game yet took 21 fg attempts

You can't be serious. Anyone who idolizes Jamal Crawford has issues. Nelson is an idiot for keeping him in the lineup even when he's playing like ****. Anyone on the Warriors roster is better than Jamal when Jamal's shot is off.

The fact that our two starting guards have a total of 3 assists right now is disgusting.

There is just nothing to defend with this guy and I watch in amazement when people try to and then get upset with those that call him trash.

I always liked Jamal the guy better then Jamal the player. He had skills and talent but I am not sure they would have translated into wins in this league. Who knows... people used to say that about Webber and he turned the Kings around.

nellie is just trying to save crawford's energy for tommorow's game so he can chuck more.

There is just nothing to defend with this guy and I watch in amazement when people try to and then get upset with those that call him trash.

you really are obsessed, it's pretty obvious... let it go... it's OK for others to like a player that u despise... not everyone shares in your point of view on everything... people like u have been ragging on me for years for liking players like Charlie Ward, John Starks, Allan Houston too, always pointing out the weaknesses in their games, calling them "overpaid bums" & not understanding why i liked them to begin with... sorry but i don't tend to have a personal affinity for guys like MJ, Kobe & Lebron who have all the talent in the world & are at the top of their games (even tho i respect them tremendously)... maybe being a flawed player helps me to relate to them more, but be it as it may, i have grown to like those players for 1 reason or another & i don't feel i need to apologize to you or anyone else for what i choose to like or dislike... i have never once shown anger towards u or anyone else for not liking Jamal, but when u call him a garbage player i disagree... it's called having a differing opinion.

LOL what? I didn't post on this forum back then and Starks wasn't even a Knick or in the league when UK was founded. You've really lost me there. Besides, I hardly ever got on those three because unlike Crawful they produced at higher levels and that led to winning basketball.

Obsessed? No, just looking to defend myself in a debate where I've been called out for dumping on Crawful.

Crawful is a bum and always was a bum and there's plenty of evidence to show it and to show I'm not making stuff up here.

But whatever I've proven my point that he's trash and I'm in the majority of who thinks that. If that upsets you, which it clearly has, there's nothing I can do about it and obviously nothing that can be said to show you that he really is indeed a horrible player.

Obsessed? Probably, but i'm just looking to take any possible opportunity I can to continue dumping on Crawful.

To me, Crawful is a bum and always was a bum and there's plenty of evidence to show I am obsessed with this abnormal hatred towards him and to show that you were right all along about me.

But whatever I've proven my point that I think he's trash and that's good enough for me. If you disagree, which you clearly do, there's nothing I can do about it and obviously nothing that can be said to show you how much I am obsessed over Jamal Crawford. I apologize & promise I will seek counseling in the near future TMS.

apology accepted Cosmic... i hope the counseling pays off for you & wish u the best of luck in your recovery.

I like Crawford. He's a good guy, but I do contend that he is an over glorified 6 man. He is a guy that could excel if he came off the bench with the second unit and was the designated scorer. In that role he could shoot whenever he wanted and not hurt the team. He could also be taken from the line-up and replaced iwth the starter on those nights when his shot isn't falling and he's hurting you. But coaches are enamored with his potential and are trying to force him into a lead guard role. He's not that player. He has not learned good shot selection and his defense/rebounding combination is one of the worst in the league.

My biggest complaint about Jamal is that he knows what his weaknesses are, but he has done very little to fix them. Well let's be honest, he's done nothing to fix them.
I just hope that people will like me

That's funny as hell.

I still don't miss Crawful, though.

I still wait for the day when Crawford and Antoine Walker play together so we can really see some chucking.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
OT: Jamal scored 50 tonight....
