i much rather deal w/Fugazy Tim off the bench than Antoine Shimmy... we need another G... besides Gallo is beginning to take shoot arounds & he will be joining this team eventually this season... we have no need for another F on this team.

adding Walker would give MDA one more SF to put out there that could be undersized, but still able to hold his own on the boards.

Whether he is good or could help, I think the bottom line is we're better of with getting a young player who can turn into something, as opposed to a largely washed up veteren whose best days are behind him.

You go out and get Courtney Sims and Smush Parker and call it a rap. Both guys would be good, smart, cost-effective & temporary options (that address two crucial needs) where we give up no assets at all to acquire. Not to mention both don't have any effect on the 2010 plan really - if they suck and don't work out - bye-bye. And if they do work out, Donnie looks like a genius and may have a chance to get one or both guys locked up to small sensible deals that works for us. It looks like both guys can actually play and contribute too - Smush played pretty well for the Lakers not too long ago. At the worst they're two warm bodies that give our core guys a chance to get the rest they need - you can't keep playing only 7 guys and Duhon 45 mins. every night. These guys are playing very hard - we owe them some re-enforcements. Remember the satisfaction of plucking Mason and Starks out of nowhere? Both went on to have very good careers at a high level. Could be the same thing here - sometimes all guys need is a shot to show what they can do. Win-win situation and a no-brainer right here for me...

The cost and the decline in numbers is one thing but what evidence is there that the dude is a Malcontent?
