i told u this knucklehead just can't stand not being at the center of controversy... the team is playing team basketball & no one's talking about his loser butt anymore so he's gotta put himself back into the spotlight once again.

be funny if he was sporting a "Marbury" jersey himself sitting courtside?
Be sad and pathetic if he really does this. Has to pay a ticket broker to watch his own team play? After they shot him in the head in the foxhole? anyone think Marbury is the closist thing to Juanna Man? ![]() [Edited by - nalod on 16-12-2008 3:59 PM] |

Who freaking cares? He can watch the game from the moon for all that matters, and I don't think Walsh or Mike D care either, as long as he is not around the team, they don't give a damn were Marblehead is or what he does, so why should anyone else care?.

i hope Q Rich goes barrelling into the stands after a loose ball into Marbury's lap & catches him w/an "accidental" elbow.

I don't know why everyone ascribes negative motives to Marbury. He happens to be in LA and just wants to catch a ball game. We all know how much he loves the Knicks.

It's not so hard.

Did he look stupid or what!
I think he motivated the team just a bit more cuz they really went all out and damm near pullled it off! I SHOULD have eaten him up that he was not out there, but he really thinks this is the Knicks doing and he is just the victim. The money makes him happy, and thats just fine. He really struggles with being happy. Phuch him. Spike looked great with the "Danny Whealen" orange pull over! Knicks are relevant whith their play on the court. Not ex-players in celeb row! |

Nalod - great catch on the Danny Whelan pullover.
I gotta get me one of those. Marbury can now return to his (cough) regularly scheduled workouts and conference calls with Marc Berman. We desperately need a 6'11 man to man-up once a knick always a knick

It was kind of a let down with Marbs. I was hoping for more drama and hysterics. I like having Marbs around for the humor of it all. That being said I do agree with Earl. Why should I care, why should anyone care? Marbs is clearly becoming less and less of a factor as the team battles each night. I'm willing to bet that if Berman stopped writing about him we would forget about him entirely.

Jesus, I don't think I've hated an athlete more than Marbury.
Bragging about getting paid for doing nothing and saying its been great for him when Gov. Patterson is ready to tax middle class New Yorkers for drinking soda and downloading music. I really would pay to see Marbury punched in the face. http://starksraving.com/

By MARC BERMAN
Last updated: 3:33 am December 17, 2008 LOS ANGELES - He's baaaack ! After a training session yesterday morning in the Hollywood Hills, banned Stephon Marbury Stephon Marbury shocked the Knicks New York Knicks by attending their game last night vs. the Lakers at Staples Center as a fan. Marbury sat in a corner baseline, front-row seat by the Lakers girls. Marbury hasn't been under the same roof as the Knicks since Thanksgiving Eve when he was suspended, then banned. Unwanted, uninvited and unabashed, Marbury knew he was pushing the envelope with his presence. He's been ordered to stay away from games and practice, but Mike D'Antoni said he wasn't in violation. Donnie Walsh did not return phone calls. Marbury probably feels his appearance will exacerbate the ridiculous nature of the situation and perhaps speed up the divorce process. During halftime, Marbury, wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans, said he's willing to sit out the season, though he acknowledged he's speaking to other teams. One of them, a source said, is Miami. "I'm not worried about that," Marbury said. "All I got to do is get free. Once I get free, the team I'm going to go to a lot of people will be shocked. All the people who say nobody wants me on their team, I'm all different things, a cancer, that's not what's going on." Marbury, who has a place in L.A., decided to come out here to train and work on his Starbury business. Negotiations with the Knicks are at a stalemate. "I'm earning my check by doing nothing," Marbury said. "I'm enjoying it to the fullest. I can go in and out of the country when I want during the season. They'll make a decision when they're ready to make a decision. I'm getting healthy, adding two, three years to my career. This has been great for me, able to heal." Asked why he attended, Marbury said, "I just wanted to see the game. I miss it a lot. It's the closest I can get to the game right now." D'Antoni downplayed Marbury's appearance, though Knicks officials appeared uncomfortable. Cablevision's MSG Network did not interview Marbury on camera, though the Lakers' Fox telecast did. "I haven't read the fine print," D'Antoni said. "That's fine. I don't think (it violates it). No big deal. There'll be 19,000 people tonight. If he wants to see a good game, that's great. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!
