^ damn websites and their misleading contract info. I think you are right; Diaw signed through 11-12.

Diaw is playing where? In Chandlers role? Tim Thomas' role? David Lee? I know its not Al Harrington!

Bottom line? There is no reason to discuss anything about Diaw and that's without even touching his contract.

I would maybe consider Biaw, Bell, CHA #1 pick this year or next for Lee, Curry. Maybe.

Diaw played better for Mike than for another.

Eddy played better for Larry than for another.

Diaw is more valuable under mike than larry.

Logical.

Diaw is no star, not a franchise player. But he has a role.

If we can move JJ with Curry, that is ok by me.

But doesn't that kill any 2010 plans which Walsh already answered back when D'Antoni was hired. He won't make any trades that would harm that plan when asked about the possibilities of trading for Diaw.

Curry for Diaw actually takes $2M off the cap in 2010.

Based on the assumption that Curry would reup on the Knicks. If Curry is unable to play this season, is it possible to convince or force him to retire before 2010.

Curry has a bone bruise, which just takes time to heal. I doubt he retires.

Don't forget Curry also has a bruised ego.

I like Curry + Jeffries for Diaw and Bell. That clears space.

lol, i was just about to post the same thing, but CHA would have to toss in another $3 mil to make it work.

Yup. salaries don't match. Buy what incentive does CHA have to do this trade? Does LB think he can resuscitate Curry's career?

curry is an unmotivated sloth.

BUT, if you can restore his confidence, then having him at center with ok4 at the pf spot concentrating on defense + rebounding actually creates a very complimentary front court.

if you're larry, would you rather have diaw for 3 more years after this one or curry for 2? i would rather take a chance on curry for 2.

if you are CHA, what type of deal would you want for Diaw, Bell and/or others that NY would accept?

i dunno how unhappy Diaw is to be in CHA either considering he just scored 25 the other night playing huge minutes in a loss tho... does he enjoy the touches or does he want to play for MDA again? i guess a lot depends on that whether CHA will look to deal him or not.

an offer of Curry & Malik for Diaw, Bell & cash would probably be much more realistic.

The salaries match according to RealGM: http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4872266

No the salaries work. Check Realgm.com tradechecker. I think Diaw and Bell on this team for Jeffries and Curry would be amazing. But like many people, I was hoping to move Curry for something that ends in 2010. Jeffries too. Diaw goes over, butttttt, who knows.

Hahn started the rumor anyways. There might be zero truth to it. But I have heard rumblings of Curry to Charlotte before this, and Diaw and Bell to NYC. So it's a possibility.

why would u wanna make a deal like that? it adds longterm salary to our books & we're giving up the best player to boot... throw CHA's 1st rounder in there unprotected & maybe u might have something there.
