Keeper? I don't know. Maybe if he takes a pay cut.

On one hand, he is loving it here, is excited to play for us, and brings lots of energy as a result of that.

On the other, he's a career malcontent and I am unsure about how he will react when he's no longer the #1-dude here.

I say milk him for the ride, enjoy the ride, and say toodles if need be in 2010, no remorse.

Yeah, I love Al, but I can't use this as an opportunity to bash Crawford at this point. We were 6-5 while he was here.

6-5? We were like 100-300 while he was here.

We were 100-300 whil everyone was here. I can't blame one guy. He was a sieve while he was here. He was erratic but you can't blame him for the 23 wins and then ignore his play during the 11 games this year. He's a part of all of it, and I'm not going to use Al's 11 great games as an excuse to destroy the other guy.

I will. Crawful was trash. Isiah was an idiot of course. Flavor of the Year. Marbury, then Crawful, then McCurry, then ZachAss... YET, the facts are there.

Marbury + Layden's scrubs = Playoffs (sweep)
Marbury + Crawful = TRASH.

Subtract Crawful and ZachAss and you have a team of "nobodies" playing great, loving being Knicks, playing hard as they can play, and doing VERY well in the face of a VERY tough schedule.

Crawful and Zachass played against trash teams to start the year.

Make no mistake their trade happened just as Walsh and Mike KNEW the schedule was toughening up. They got their burn, looked good, got traded. Had they stayed?

Eh, lol.

Thank GOD these two clowns are gone. THEY WERE TERRIBLE.

That's fair, but this team better not play worse than the 6-5(.545) that we played while those two were here. Otherwise you owe both Zach and Craw a tremendous apology.

When was the last time we had a Knick with that honour? Was it Houston?

i'm not sure but i think Eddy Curry may have won it a couple years ago if i'm not mistaken.

I get what you're saying but let's not get crazy. They got into the playoffs with a losing record, and embarassed in the first round. Hardly think that's worth making a point with.

dude, if Harrington were here instead of Jamal over the Isiah years do u really think we'd be all that much better a team? i don't think Al would be playing this well w/o a PG like Duhon & w/a system like the one he's playing in right now where everyone is sharing the ball... he'd be looking to get his off just like everyone else was because there was no leadership & no team cohesion... i love Al & always have, but to rag on Jamal because of how disjointed the team was when he was here is completely unfair... the team had a winning record to begin the season this year w/Jamal on the team, i fail to see how u can possibly assume or even allude that they'd be crap if he were still on this team this season... u guys seriously need to get off ur Jamal hater kick... he wasn't great but he wasn't crap either... he carried this team whenever they needed scoring on most nights... yeah, he was a crap defender as were plenty of other Knicks on this team & as most still are... Jamal is not the reason this team stunk, it was the entire team situation & everything that went on off the court w/the drama & everything else along w/a complete lack of coaching that breeded an environment of losing around here... u guys applaud D Lee for how he's playing now, meanwhile he's probably the worst bigman defender in the game & he was a main part of all those losing teams too... it's a hypocritical stance that u can't ignore... everyone has their own preference when it comes to players but to use the whole losing argument to justify why Jamal was horrible is a ridiculous position to take.

No, I wouldn't, because again we played CRAP teams that were also injured. 6-3 was a mirage. If you think keeping Zach/Crawford was going to extrapolate to a 54-28 season I don't know what to say...I hope you don't think that.

If we made no trades I have a hard time assuming we'd be any better than 1 win better right now. If we had a healthy Nate, Jeffries, and Mobley I'd say we might actually be better.

The team...has played like a TEAM since those two clowns were traded. Prior to that? It was the "hope Zach and or Craw had huge games so we could win" game plan. Yeah, that's not quite the path to greatness.

Cosmic, who have we beaten since making those trades? any elite teams in there that u can point to that show beyond a shadow of a doubt how much better this team is now than before? if u wanna talk about how the team is gelling better & playing more team basketball, that's understandable... if u wanna talk about how much better this team has become, record wise i just don't see it... this team has a losing record since those trades were made & a winning record before... u really have no argument there bro.

Okay, you guys win, we would have been 58-24, ECFinals, if only we kept Crawful and Zachass. Now, we're doomed, DOOMED!!!!!

.....you can read a schedule just as I can. I actually need to post it? I'm the only one with internet access and an objective attitude? Come'on....

This team is SO MUCH MORE FUN TO WATCH - because everyone is involved. I have not had fun watching this team since it was Marbury and Layden's scrubs. That's a FACT.

We went from Crawful/Zachass looking good or like crap and living a dying by that while hoping we kept facing crap teams with injured players - to? Lee beasting, Harrington beasting, Duhon playing like an allstar, Chandler coming into his own, and even clowns like TT, Q, and Jeffries "doing the little things".

YOU DONT GET THAT with Crawful and ZachAss dominating the ball. Those two weren't dominating PLAYERS they were BALL DOMINANT. There is a huge different. Dominating players excel because they get all their teammates involved while getting their stats - while - ball dominant idiots get their stats at the EXPENSE of their teammates! If they're hot, you have chance to win, if not? Nobody else can pick up the slack because they are all rusty from watching the two clowns chuck all game long.

We have been LIBERATED from Isiah's idiotic "Younger, Longer, and more Athletic Assets" cloud of darkness.

If you can't see it I can't help yas because I guess it's a matter of opinion.

It's all good - but I just don't see what you guys see - those of you STILL somehow lamenting the Crawful/Zachass trades. Do you lament the McCurry and TruckBury banishments too? Yeah, that was a shot across the bow.. LOL... disregard it.

see this is where ur nonsensical position shows itself... nowhere did i ever once bash those trades, in fact i have been public saying Donnie was a genius to pull off those moves... ur position to criticize Jamal using the win-loss argument is nontenable dude... sorry but that's how it is.

Nonsensical? How? 'cause I love a team who plays like a team over two selfish pieces of crap in Zach/Craw?

Fine, we disagree.

You haven't bashed the trades? Well, debating that ridding ourselves of Craw/Zach might lead to the observation that you're not happy with them. But, I won't put words in your mouth.

I'll just say I couldn't be HAPPIER without those two clowns on this team - and - through your debating my POV on that - I can only assume you feel different.

It's all good...we're all Knick fans. I'm not going to go and insult you over your differing opinion.

he's definitely playing the best ball of his career & proving all the doubters wrong about him w/each passing game... i have no idea where all the "garbage" labels on this guy come from to begin with.

TMS

i told u guys that Al would be a better fit for MDA's system than Zach... i'm special.

TMS
12-11-2008 5:59 PM
he was a better fit than i ever though he'd be, but Al stretches the defense better w/his range & is more mobile on the break... he's got a quick release on his 3's while Zach is much more deliberate w/his shot from the arc... the only time he can get off that 3 is in transition or when he's left completely ungarded... Al can run off screens & take 3's effectively & he's alot quicker off the dribble getting into the lane.

idiots who said Al Harrington was garbage MAN UP!

u ain't gotta tell me twice bro... i always said Al Harrington can ball & he's proving it to anyone who's ever doubted him... it's awesome to see.

YEP, sure sounds like i'm all broken up & crying over that Jamal for Al trade, now doesn't it? gimme a break & learn how to read before u comment on people's stance on topics.

Man who gives a rats ass about Jamal Crawford already? Stop discussing that loser on this forum. He no longer plays for the Knicks and is part of a failed era of Knicks basketball. Crawford is lumped in with everyone else, including Curry and Marbury. None of them will be missed when they are gone.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
