Unfortunately, Ramtour, with another one of your silly uncalled for rants, you missed the entire point being portrayed. That's really annoying and I hope you one day follow the other idiots who used to be on this site who continued to rant and rant and rant and never added anything to the conversation, then got banned for causing a disruption.

If you disagree with something someone is saying, then provide a reliable source to back it up and show some respect for other people.

If you want to debate, then debate. You spamming the board with six consecutive posts of insults and ranting is not cool.

So because the IPCC says so and a couple of Wikipedia articles say so, it's definitely true? Why don't you take some time and learn more about IPCC, its background, its people, its backers, and its motives.

Nah, man i didn't miss the point i don't think. 4949 brought up the most important issue of this century so far. Some are saying its not so, others say it doesn't exist or its not man made. If you feel that my contributions to this board are only in the form of meaningless rants, then i should make myself better understood. However, at certain points i do go into a rant, like when someone says that "ice is more dense than water" and then talks about others being brainwashed i really feel insulted. Also, i don't think that the statements i made really need to be supported since i'd imagine just about all the kids in high school know that ice floats and that Antarctica is a body of land, a continent.

Maybe you should put more thought into your statements bro, you seem like a smart guy yet you say stuff right off the top of your head that makes no sense and i quote"a quantity of water has a higher volume than the equivalent amount of ice" which is not true cause as most people know, when water freezes it crystallizes, creating tiny pockets of air between the crystals. So that is why ice is lighter than water, that is why ice floats(effectively making it LESS dense omg)and if its less dense, an equal amount of H20 molecules would take up larger space frozen than not.

As far as the whole global warming being man made, i am pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of the scientists right now agree on that. Al Gore didn't win a Nobel prize for his movie cause he's such a great guy or a smooth talker- Global warming IS the issue and will be so for years to come imho.

Ok now i'd like to explain why i am spending all this time and why i put so much emotion into this thread. Its because i think the life cycle of this planet is more important than the lives of us people individually. I could die tomorrow and it would not affect anyone other than my immidiate family(and of course this forum would have one less person that likes to rant

)
On the top of that, i'll be replaced in a matter of seconds(even less?) as the human race has no shortages in numbers. Our planet is dying, slowly but surely there are less and less species out there . Yeah it went through these cycles before, and over time new species came about to replace those that went extinct. But our civilization is definately creating another one of these cycles and unless we start fixing what we are creating its gonna get worse. When a species goes extinct we can't reverse that. At that point its too late. I just hope at some point we'll come together as a civilization and really adress this- and saying that global warming is a myth or arguing about ice cubes doesn't help in that regard.
