If you could do it again, would you take Mcgee in a heartbeat?

If I could do it all over again, I'd do whatever was necessary to do what I wanted done at the time... and give up whatever for OJ Mayo... I know I bemoaned the lack o size but Mayo looks as good as advertised. If the Knicks had him, it would be easy to get a superstar in 2010 to come to NY.

But if that wasn't possible, yes, Brook Lopez or Javal McGee should've been drafted. I'd say Lopez, just because he was an obvious talent and a better player (right now).

So are people thinking Gallo is a bust or still taking the wait an see? I think you can call it yet since he hasn't played but obviously it isn't looking good right now.

How can The Rooster be a bust? It took Dirk like, 3 or 4 years to start contributing in a big way. Be easy, he will be our savior soon.

Dirk wasn't really used till late in his rookie season and he showed the potential to be an elite player. In his second season in the league he averaged 18ppg 7rpg 3apg while shooting 46% from the field. The Rooster can't get over the little scratch on his back.

Was the D'Antoni Suns a very good shot blocking team? The reason I ask is that I don't think a player that is suited to play in his system would not be a very good shot blocker. Most shot blockers are not very skilled offensive wise.

get Shelden Williams
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Every player is different. He is injured right now and we won't know much about him until he is healthy. I think as long as this injury is not a career threatener than there is not much to worry about at this point. He is a talented player like any of the other top picks, but we won't know what he can bring until he is actually on the court. My opinion of him hasn't changed since the day he was drafted. He hasn't proven anything yet, nor has he failed. He's just hurt and in athletics injuries sometimes happen.
I just hope that people will like me

Knicks need Camby....there's no other shotblocking center out there that could possibly fit this running style.....or Noah from the Bulls.....other than that? Javale McGee but he's probably untouchable.

Thabeet is not a running player....he's Shrek.

Interesting though that the Nuggets traded Camby this season and have played their best defense in the past 4-5 years without him.

Camby sucks and lacks lateral quickness, he's a bum. He's old. Washed up.

As ridiculous as us talking about Nash. Old, washed up.

We need someone like...someone like..a young...Bryant Reeves.

Knicksfan - is simply saying that Camby sucks ("he's a bum. He's old") really your best version of thoughtful basketball analysis?

Camby has the rare ability to not only get the rebound, but advance the ball when needed. He has enough hops to challenge inside shooters and would flourish in the D'Antoni system as he makes excellent decisions within the context of quick ball movement. Whatever offense he provides is a bonus to shoring up the defense.

Big Country?

Really?

Jerryd Bayless has been playing & it isn't looking good for him either right now... it's too early to judge any of these kids.

Yeah I don't want to judge gallo too early, I just don't like our track record with euros. However I do feel like this franchises fortunes have started to change so hopefully he will turn out to be an impact player.

yeah, would be a nice change from the usual bad luck we have around here for sure... i'm hoping for the best but at this point i'll be happy if he ended up to be a role player as effective as Nate or Chandler right now... that's not gonna fulfill his high lottery pick hype but it's better than seeing him rotting on the bench w/a bad back at least.

Looking at this question by position, center and shooting guard are the positions where we're lacking a respectable starter.
