I know I'm going to get lambasted for this, but I still think Curry can be a servicable center for us if/when his vagina heals, and I'm not so concerned about getting rid of him. If he comes back, he's really not *THAT* overpaid for a starting 7 foot center in this league that can go 18 and 7. We're on track guys, stop stressing so much. There's lots of time between now and 2010, and I'd much rather be rid of the likes of Fishlips and Q than worry so much about Curry. We're doing ok right now, inspite of not having a post up threat. I'd like to see what happens when we add that.

Thanks for the kool-aid, nixluva.

I don't know why people always bring up the damn 18 and 7 crap. He posts that one time in his entire career and last year he was back to around his career average of 13 and 5. He's a fat piece of crap. He plays no defense. Unfortunately we are stuck with him for a long, long time.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I just want to point out I really don't see Eddy Curry opting out to become a scout. I know he's lazy and all, but I don't think his agent would go for this.

I WILL say that Eddy's agent and Lebron's agent are the same. So if it's anything like X-Man - Scottie Pippen situation from 1992, then maybe Eddy gets some cajoling to opt out. But he has to play first. To see what he's got.

Al Harrington
11 prior seasons, best prior avg: 18.6
this year with knicks: 24.7

D Lee
3 prior seasons, best prior avg: 10.8
this year 14.0

N8 Rob
3 prior seasons, best prior avg: 12.7
this year 13.8

Duhon
4 prior seasons, best prior avg: 8.7
this year: 12.1

Under D'Antoni both Crawford and Zach were on pace for their second best scoring avgs in their careers.

So what makes you think that only Curry will not be able, under Mike, to score at least as well as he has in the past?

I personally can't stand Eddy Curry - I hate the fact that he just doesn't appear to care enough to get any better as a player, I hate how he never once came into camp in shape & ready to play for us, I hate how he took a vacation mentally when Isiah brought Zach Randolph in when this was basically his team and I hate how he's shown no drive whatsoever to come back strong from his injury problems so far this season. Having said that, Panos, you make a very good point my man. If anyone can turn a situation around and get the most from a player it's D'Antoni. Hopefully he can find a way to get enough outta him where Donnie finally has an option or two to deal him off somewhere down the road. As much as I can't stand him, he does have a few things still working in his favor - he's huge, still fairly young and has a knack for scoring the ball. When he's ready to go, it's up to Mike to try and tap into that somehow...

Great point and many of us are wondering what is going to happen once Curry is back. If we have 4 pretty good shooters out there with Curry what is going to happen to those double teams? You know, Curry is going to be able to score 20 in about 20 minutes of action. He can give the team a totally different look. Perhaps D'Antoni can use a bit of the plan they had for Shaq (limited minutes, new look) with Curry. Not only does it help the team but it will help us to move him. Plain and Simple, this system is going to raise Curry's value. (Just has to get back into shape and we have to not kill him with minutes.)

Curry gotta get his butt in shape before u guys start expecting him to put up #'s in this uptempo run up & down the court style of offense.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
