I think the players are just enjoying the 7 man rotation. It allows them to put up crazy amounts of shots knowing that they aren't going to get yanked out of the rotation anytime soon. Al seems like a guy who hasn't seen a shot he didn't like.

that's a good point. al is getting to be mj or kobe for a little while here.

Al doesn't waste movements.....there was a play last night where he was dribbling to his left on Lopez.....kinda slow then all of a sudden he's at the rim scoring on lopez with the left hand and Lopez all over him. It looked too easy.

He does that all game. He's making it look really easy. As an example....Lebron James does a lot o herky, jerky moves, so does Carmelo.....if they would just slow it down and take it easy they wouldn't have to work so hard.

I'm loving Al Harrington.

there's something to be said about this system that d'antoni runs. it makes ALOT of guys look good. harrington always had skills but now he's playing in a position that maximizes his skillset.

He's flat out amazing out there in the Mike D system. He is on fire, he is full of fire, he loves being a Knick, he's a great teammate.

For anyone missing Crawful...I gotta ask...what the hell is there to miss!?

AMAZING trade by Donnie Walsh!!! AMAZING!!!

AND....You also gotta give it up for the other home town kid TIM THOMAS. I know a lot of people hate this guy but he plays hard, he tries hard, he loves being a Knick, is a great teammate.

What is NOT to like about this!!!!

My god! We look so much better without Zach/Craw it's AMAZING. I wanted those two gone but I never expected those returned in trade to be so good! If we had a healthy Cat...we'd be flat out great out there!

Walsh and Mike D have been an absolute godsend!

Did he just say Tim plays hard?

he was a better fit than i ever though he'd be, but Al stretches the defense better w/his range & is more mobile on the break... he's got a quick release on his 3's while Zach is much more deliberate w/his shot from the arc... the only time he can get off that 3 is in transition or when he's left completely ungarded... Al can run off screens & take 3's effectively & he's alot quicker off the dribble getting into the lane.

Yeah so anybody check Al Harringtons comments after the game against Sacramento? He bsaically said he loves being a Knick, and happy he's been able to play the way he has. When the team was falling in the 3rd and he errupted for 90 secs to get 11pts, he said that he wants a leadership role with the team and took it upon himself to take the pressure of his team....

After the run and sactown called a time-out, Al walks over to the bench rallying the troops, hyped up....not pumping his chest but transfering it to his teamates.....

I'm in shock! Where did this Al Harrington come from? he's been a total God send. My boy is averaging 20pts for the season and 25pts as a Knick!!!!

Thats your answer. The guy genuinely wanted to be a Knick and now that he is one he has picked up his game to the level many expected from him a long time ago. This is the case where the hometown player really takes advantage of playing for his favorite team and sending the message that he will do whatever he can to make them better.

If only Marbury had been like this. Oh well, thats history...

A few years ago when he was still a young Pacer, he was compared to a young Bernard King - a "power" small forward... or just a "forward". Somewhere along the way he got off track and got traded a bunch of times. Now he's playing with extreme confidence.

It's kind of strange to see this, but he's averaging right around 20 field goal attempts/game as a Knick. Few players in the NBA are afforded that luxury. When you get down to it, he's right behind Dwyane Wade (20.9) and Dirk Nowitzki (20.6) - ahead of Lebron & Kobe! Al would also be #4 in the league in scoring at 25.5. (I'd like him to average more FTA's per game, but hey, if he keeps shooting at close to a 50% clip, I don't mind too much)

In a sense, he's improved over his career numbers in the same magnitude that Steve Nash improved under D'Antoni. If the Knicks can finish .500+ and Harrington keeps up his pace, I would not be surprised if he got some MVP votes.

Word man......as a Knick he's averaging 25pts per now after tha last game......dudes! If he keeps this up....he's a bonified all-star.

He's not just on a hot streak and its not like they are force feeding him like Isiah did Eddy......this dude is so smooth with it. He makes it look so easy. Everything he does is within the flow.

Al "be sure" Harrington.....

"Easy" al? Any thoughts?
