I'm all for keeping Marbury on this team until the season ends. If we have to pay him, then we might at least make him lose his time, his prime, and make his life as miserable as it can be. Let him become a distraction from outside the team... can't care less about this pile of ****.

Let him do some Halftime report work.

Even some tele-Jornalizm.

Revise his show from "Stars on Stars" to "Stars behind Bars", which Plax as his first guest, Mike Vick, Jayson Williams, and who knows.

Where'd you hear that we bought Isiah out?

Thought I read it in a blog today. Didn't sound right. Can't find it. Maybe I am delusional too!
I am guessing you picked the Blazers to win tonight :)

Maybe?

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Boy Marbury is not helping his image at all. The Knicks supposedly offered to buy him out for just a million less and he refused. He just doesn't seem to care about basketball anymore.

He doesn't love the game. He's more concerned with the money and max contracts and getting his. If he truly loved the game he would accept a buyout to play somehwere, anywhere. No way he'd want to rot at home.

All of that being said, what's the point in offering just a million less?

"They left me out for dead. It's like we're in a foxhole and I'm facing the other way. If I got shot in the head, at least you want to get shot by the enemy. I got shot in the head by my own guys in my foxhole. And they didn't even give me an honorable death."

Just thought of something while reading his quote and trying to picture it. If you are in a foxhole facing the other way and you got shot by your own guys, wouldn't you get hit in the butt instead of head? I think i am on to something here. . .

Its about respect for him.

He offered a mil less, Knicks offered 3 less.

He wants his money.

I hope the fraternity of owners look negatively upon his actions and stay away.

If he had a deal in place he might have compromised by now.

Right. Marbury knows he's not gonna play anyway cuz no team wants him. So, as long as he won't be playing anyway, he may as well sit home and collect his whole salary.

What do you mean?

What I'm talking about is that Donnie Walsh, SUPPOSEDLY, offered Marbury 20.9 in the buyout instead of 21.9. What's the point in making the offer? Just give him the full thing.

I just don't get the point in taking away 1 million dollars, which is pennies compared to what the Knicks have. If you're gonna make an offer like that, just give him the full contract. I don't get it.

My guess is that taking 1 million off is not the only bargaining point. I think the Knicks want him to take less money and have some say in where he can play. The last thing they want is to buy him out at full price, see him get a million or two more from another team raising his salary even more, and then also come back and knock us out for the 8th seed. They'd rather just send him home and see if a better solution comes up

I thought Marbury offered to take a million off, not the Knicks. The Knicks want him to take a much bigger cut than that.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
