Barkley was on tnt telling Lebron to shut up about 2010.....Lebron promptly responded by saying Barkley was "stupid".

Both he and Kenny Smith ended up agreeing. Initially Kenny Smith stated you don't give choices to a player who's paid $22mil, you tell him to suit up and be ready to play. Barkley thought Marbury was making things a little more difficult than necessary but when Kenny explained himself again Barkley said "I agree the matter should have been taken care before the season started."

This goes back to the story Berman wrote about Crawford motioning towards Marbury at the start of the season and guys walking into the locker room surprised he was still with the team.

Face it our mgmt dropped the ball and many insiders and outsiders agree.....many.

he may say it was'nt a distraction, but he would'nt be yappin' if it were'nt. so if someone that was a knick up until a week ago says the "situation" should have been handeled before the season, i'd take his word for it. even if his words have no barring anymore.

I agree with D'antoni and walsh.. crawford should just shut uo on the matter. he didn't have the balls to be a leader and speak up when it could have mattered...

It's simple, they might have meant to have Marbs gone before the season started but when a buyout or trade didn't happen, Marbs should have been allowed to play. He seemed to have settled into his bench role and was not being a distraction. No, they did not handle the situation professionally. D'Antoni, is somewhat of a liar and if some of you don't see that it's because you don't want to. He tried some underhanded sh__ and it's blown up in his face. Even Walsh was surprised that Marbs wasn't playing....that should tell you something. I am not a Marbs fan but if you have a healthy body with his experience, you play him. If the team wanted him gone, then you trade or buy him out and that's all you can do. By doing this kind of crap, they have garnered sympathy for the man, even from people who don't particularly like him.
