I don't think we suck, and I don't think we're done making improvements to this team for this year. There will be many more ups and downs. This year isn't for the faint of heart or the fair weather fan for sure. Quite frankly, all the drama is giving me a headache. Deep down I think we all knew that the Cavaliers game was going to be a blow out. We play alot of really good teams in December, so MDA has got his work cut out for him just to keep the effort level up and get the new guys in syn with the gameplan. Hopefully, Walsh will pitch in with a move or two to improve the team and we won't get embarassed again like last night...Ouch!

I still think this team can finish at .500.

But what will really keep me interested this season is if Danilo comes back. Please come back!

If we really suck this year, a nice draft pick will make it semi interesting to watch next year.

f#$@cking years, I am happy we cleared cap cause we werent going anywhere anyway, but 2 years without basketball is gonna be tough.

Yeah, I hate watching games that I know we are done by half time. I know it will take time to intergrate the new guys, but I don't see them being competitive after that.

It has sucked since 2001.

I would rather watch Al Harrington, Tim Thomas and Cutino Mobley than Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford ANYDAY. Two losers who have never won ANYTHING in this league. At least the three players we got have played in the playoffs.

The Cleveland game wasn't indicative. We still are waiting to see what Jared Jeffries can go do in this system, Red Rooster Gallo, and Big Hamburger Curry. As well as the three new players after 2 weeks of practice. So I'm not depressed. For the first time in years I am actually excited.

Second that. There will be plaenty of ups and downs and inconsistent play until the roster is set and everyone is healthy and playing together. I'm looking forward to some good consistent play after the all star break.

Before this trade happened, it was clear the Knicks were one of those teams that will win against the bad teams and lose against the good teams. They're still like that, only now the team isn't as good. They could make the playoffs, they could not, but irregardless they're going to look really bad at times.

Now there isn't even third tier talent on the team.

Basketball will still be interesting if we have guys like Chandler, Nate, Lee and Gallo developing. You know what would make it more interesting? We trade for a C like McGee and we sign again Ewing Jr.

Also, I wanna see what Harrington can do in this system because he could be a keeper...

If we suck, big whop. At least it's because we're sucking for the bigger picture in the future. Besides, it's been 7 years. Two more wont kill ya.

Exactly. Sucking with no hope is a lot worse than sucking as an ends to a means.

People really haven't entirely come to grips with the fact that we are rebuilding. This is what happens when you rebuild

1.) jettison/marginalize guys that don't fit your future plan
2.) Get core players to buy in and show you what they have
3.) Position your team to take advantage of the draft, free-agency and the trade market
4.) Suck
5.) Get better
6.) Win consistently
I just hope that people will like me

Everybody knows you can't rebuild in NY.

I see no reason to be put off by the chance that we might not have a good season. To say we'll suck for 2 years is a bit much tho. How cany anyone say what the team will be like by the end of this year, much less next year?

Did Walsh say he was going to shutdown for the next 2 yrs? He's still very much into finding ways to improve the team. That shouldn't stop at all. Remember that LeBron and likely anyone other top FA in 2010 isn't going to want to come here if we actually do suck at that time. Walsh knows this and i'm sure he's going to be looking to restructure the team a bit if he can. Remember we still have the trade deadline and someone may be looking to do a small trade or even pick up a big like Curry at that time, that is if MDA can get him to do anything decent this year.

I am happy and excited. The last 2 regimes has proven that you need to build from the ground up. I guess it really is true that you cannot rebuild in NY.

Well, one good thing will happen for the next two years: Lots of okay $10 Knicks tickets on Stubhub. My kids don't care if the Knicks win or lose but they are happier without nose bleeds in the 400 seats.

I am still depressed about the draft. Hopefully I will be moving onto a new state of depression soon.

You said it baby!
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.
