Uh hello, don't you see my name? Jefferies took number 20 so he can give it to me in the contest.

Jeffries. No question. Curry is worth 16 points to the oppo just by being on the court.

And Effries is worth 3 airballs, and 2 shots hitting the side of the backboard.
Gimme a break.

If Curry could run, I'd vote for him, but the guy is in shape (round). Since he cannot run, Jeffries must play center. I dont even think Curry has it IN HIM to get into run n gun shape.

Curry may be able to put the ball in the hole, and Jeffries may be brick country, but at the end of the day, Curry's minuses far outweigh his pluses compared to Jeffries.

JJ has a future here. When we was in Wash he was excellent in their press and trap defense. We was a very good player for that team. He makes a lot of money as his contract hits almost $8mm in 2010 so moving him at some point would certainly be to our advantage. That being said short term I think he's a great fit.

Curry I think we just need to get out there and having a little fun. Convince him nothing matters but going out and having some fun with whatever minutes he gets. Show the league he's healthy. Someone will take a chance on him. He's young, huge and aside from being lazy doesnt have personality baggage.

Check out the stats for yourself. Jeffries was a net positive last year. One of only 3 players who were.

Curry, as I said, is worth 16 points a game to the oppo. That wasn't a flip comment:

His scoring ability is more than offset by how truly awful he is at everything else.

I can't get very excited about having either of them on the court.

Does anyone else think that getting rid of Jeffries, and Curry is directly linked to keeping Lee and Nate?

If the plan os to get two of the 2010 guys then we need to get rid of one of them in order to sign one of the young guys. I'm guessing Lee would sign for Curry's money and Nate for the mid-level (jeffries money).
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Probably. With them gone the Knicks will find it easier to sign them and consider them part of their future. But it is mainly part of the big plan of getting enough cap space for the free agents. But I wouldn't be surprised if Walsh's next move nets a smaller expiring contract but brings young talent too.

Lee is not worth Curry's money. Curry obviously isn't worth that money either.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Nate starting at 5 and Lee starting at 7 is probably right for them.

What does that other rebounding freak, Evans, get paid?

Nate should probably get whatever Roger Mason just got.

i'm figuring at least 7 per for Nate (that is if he comes back healthy this season & puts up #'s now that Jamal is gone) & 9 per for Lee... a MLE level deal for Nate might be realistic if he's slowed a bit by his groin injury for the rest of this season tho.

Lee does not deserve 9 million. I would much rather trade Lee than give him that money. Either he accepts MLE money or he gets traded. You can find great rebounders with limited offensive skills on the scrap heap and you find ones that play defense too.

i've been saying we should trade him for the past 2 months... i'm just saying that's what he'll probably get, if not from us then from someone else.

Deals could be backloaded so they get full value and help the teams goal of 2010. But if in the end Lee demands too much, like you say, they should trade him.

Jeffries should easily get the nod.

You actually have to be in shape to play in an NBA game.
