Gallo has been trying to get his back going since July. Don't hold out hope for him having an impact this year. Maybe next year in the summer leagues he will put up D Nichols type numbers but not get injured for the entire season. I think Q starts ahead of Tim. I think Mike knows what he has in Q ( mentally tough) and in Tim (fugazy).

The Knicks never should have ****ed with Gallo's back, by playing him. The back is a thing you don't screw with. It takes a long time to rest. But once it's healed, then there should be no question. Then and only then can Gallo show us what he has. But I'm afraid there may be long term damage and it may take a long time before we do see him. I'm thinking sometime next year, maybe. And then there's the problems that he'll have to deal with for the rest of his career. Let's hope it's not that bad.
I'll never trust this' team again.

i think Harrington will be a better fit for this system than Zach was... he's a much better 3 pt shooter & he's more mobile... he won't put up nearly the type of rebounding #'s but he's a better defender than Zach was... i've been looking for the Knicks to acquire that dude for the past few years now... lotta haters on him around here but i definitely think he's got game.

i'm optimistic about Mobley, i think he can be a nice fit w/this team as well... i have no optimism about Fugazy, whatever he gives us is a bonus as far as i'm concerned.

I wasn't a Harrington pusher, but the more I see now, the more I like this move. He might even end up being one of the keepers in a few years. But once Marbury, Q, Malik, Jerome and Roberson are off the books in these next two seasons, I know we can do much, much better in who we pick up for 2010-11. Including Sweeps! Oh yes I just can't wait. People here have no idea what the opportunities are now that we have some space.

You guys are going to be so happy, I guarantee it!!!!!!
I'll never trust this' team again.

The thing to remember about Fugazy is that when he was here the first time, he was depended upon to be the first option not named Steph. That was the first time in his career he had that kind of pressure and he clearly wasn't capable of fulfilling that role. As a 6th man or a 4th or 5th wheel he has always been a contributor. He can pretty much do anything offensively- he's just never been consistent or mentally strong enough.

But net-net, we added size in this trade. Traded one 6-9 guy and got back a 6-9 and a 6-10. And while Mobley isn't taller than Crawford, he's stronger and plays the big guys on the perimeter much better.

We are still small, but have more balanced size than we did before. Don't have to keep going 4 guards, because we have two legit forwards who can shoot and handle now.

Another thing to keep in mind is that D'Antoni's system has a knack for getting the most out of players and making them look better than they are.

Q Rich had a career year with him and looks better now than he did at any point since he put on a Knick Uniform. Diaw, Bell, Barbosa, Duhon, Tim Thomas, etc have looked pretty good in D'Antoni's system. I'm sure he will have this group playing over their heads and we will be right there for a playoff birth.

There is an interesting interview with Thomas. If you go to about the halfway point, you will see it. What do you guys think of his thoughts about journalism (media)? Also, does he seem like he isn't going to take any **** in a game? Does he come off as tough minded. It's kind of hard to find videos on Tim Thomas.

LOL! gotta love how he goes on & on about how NBA players realize it's the media's job to report on stuff & that sometimes things aren't always gonna be shed in the best light, & then when the guy interviewing him calls him out on how it took him 10 years to get known in this league, Tiny Tim calls him a hater... Tiny Tim doesn't like fugazies man... so don't be a fugazy & we all straight.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I can see Al Harrington really thriving in this offense.

I don't think our defense can get any worse and the team still has an offensive identity. Can Al Harrington be the go to scorer? Do we need a go to scorer? We'll see.

I could see us going 41-41 and fighting for the playoffs. We will score a lot of points most nights.

Maybe we can develop Chandler into that go-to guy and I really hope Danillo gets his damn back ready by January so I can see him play.

You're all "Baker Street" for Gallinari!

oohah

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Al Harrington will be solid and the rest of the guys we got too. The people that believe we got worse as a team are gonna be surprised.

But I do want the Knicks to get a high draft pick so if we make the playoffs Donnie better make a deal for one.

looking at the logjam in our frontcourt that's forming: Harrington, Chandler, DLee, Jefferies, Thomas and maybe Gallinari one day, I really think Walsh will try to move DLee for a top ten draft pick.

Then keep Lee in the starting lineup, make sure he has a chance to keep scoring double-doubles and make it happen.
