The Knicks will never see Thabeet unless Uncle Junior can get a message to Paulie Walnuts and rig a batch of lottery envelopes.

i'm not sure that referring to someone as "Paulie Walnuts" is appropriate language earl... it may be offensive to walnut eaters.

As an occasional walnut eater, I know I was offended.

i know for a fact this guy was offended

As a guy with a sort of Italian sounding name, I was offended.

Quentin Richardson's minutes just shriveled up

TMS - great shot of Paulie. I was offended when he got stranded in the Jersey woods with nothing to eat but a pack of relish.

Think of it this way, if the Knicks sign Wise and Bosh, courtside seats at The Garden will be priced so high that only a member of da family will be able to afford them.

Once you are a Knicks fan, there's no gettin' out.

whatever happened with that russian dude who got away in the woods anyway?
really funny thread.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

(overheard by The Answer Man) "Cuttino Mobley, please pick up the blue courtesy phone..."

Q. 93Buick - whatever happened with that russian dude who got away in the woods anyway?

A. He eventually became a gymnastics coach

Tim Thomas can jump center.

TMS - I'll put up a pair of used black Converse All Stars (size 12 high tops) that you never call him that to his face. Besides, that conversation is so two days ago. Let it go.

Knicks win with 7 cats. Jets defeat an 8-0 team for the first time in franchise history.

Wise comes to The Garden on Tuesday and my spider sense tells me he will receive a warmer ovation than normal.

LOL. That will always be a mystery. You just have to make up your own conclusion. What a great episode that was.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Loud ovation and he will be cheered every time he scores.

Let The Fun Begin

GKFv2 - the opening introduction (a Madison Square Garden specialty) for Wise may be louder than the joyful noise for homeboy Al Harrington.

My hope is the press will have some unique angles on the pre-coronation of King James. I will probably be disappointed.

Where is djsu with a report from section 404 when you really need him?

MSG will be in recruit mode but what happens if the game is close in the final minutes and its Lebron making it hard for us? Haha, I'd love to see how the Garden reacts to that. Should be a fun, fun game.

Knicksfan - the matchups will also be fun to watch. Provided D'Antoni wants to go to the "Hack a 'Bron" tactic, the Knicks have 18 fouls to give.

The measurement clone of James, (6'8 240)The Mayor is producting on multiple levels as he gets consistent minutes. If D'Antoni matches Harrington with Wise, Al will be trying to defend his honor in front of his Jersey homeboys. Last but not least, 6'10 Tim Thomas can get a taste.

I'm simply breathing more freely that Malik Rose is now a Pine Brother

There is so much drama in Knicks Land, but this one in particular will really be fun to watch, unlike the Starbury soap opera.

Knicksfan - drama is a permanent scenario in Knicksland. Always has been.

There are several episodes pending. 3 new guys is a lot to knead into the locker room at one time. Nate and Cuttino Mobley will match up in practice and that will be worth paying admission to watch. Quentin will need to share minutes with Al Harrington and look like he likes it. Jeffries returns. The press will manufacture tension if none appears on the surface.

Marbury and D'Antoni get into a shouting match after the Cavs game. Just wait until Walsh petitions the league for 2 medical exemptions, for Eddy Curry and Jerome James, in the same week of December.

You notice how well Quentin Richardson is playin' with shorter socks?

Time waits for no one

There will be younger and talented guards who can contribute and Chris Duhon is still finding his voice with his increased minutes. Averaging 7 assists per game is a great start.

"It's fun for fans and media," Steve Nash told The Arizona Republic on Saturday. "As players, it's the most idiotic thing in the world to think about two years from now."

No to Steve Nash, who will turn 36 in 2010.

Manufactured Distractions

"It's a shame because had D'Antoni not ostracized Stephon Marbury the first three weeks, he could have been resurrected as SG alongside Duhon and made them more competitive. Marbury is the only player on the roster who can penetrate and set up the 3-point gunners."

- Marc Berman

Duhon has been more valuable than expected and 7 players pulled together to grit out a tough win as a team one night after a quarter of their road buddies were extracted.

"The Knicks are losing more than 40 points a game with Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph's departures. Randolph was a 20-and-10 guy this season and Harrington won't reach those numbers."

The shots will be redistributed. We will see who emerges.

Berman gets paid to write this?

Why not? While he's getting paid 22M/yr Steph can afford it.

BlueSeats - The theory that Zach and Jamals combined 40 points simply hop on a plane to the West Coast is so ridiculous I can barely breathe.

If anything, the ball is shared with more frequency.

Certainly, having Wise in the building will be fun during the announcment of the visitors starting lineups, but my wish is that Al Harrington gets shown some major love as the prodigal young son of Jersey returns to the only place he always wanted to be.

The absolute best part is that Tim Thomas gets Malik Rose's minutes and Eddy Curry is on the clock.

The Mayor Ain't No Pine Brother Either

"Al Harrington will make his Knicks debut on Tuesday against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers but there is a small possibility that Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley won’t be available.

As of right now, Harrington will move into the starting lineup along side David Lee while Wilson Chandler will be used as a back-up."

- Frankk Isola

I hope Isola is making this up and not basing this on something D'Antoni has intimated. You slide Quentin to the two and Harrington and Chandler stay up front. Backup?

The Mayor ain't no damn backup.

I demand a recount.

Quentin Richardson should go to the bench. 1 34 point game doesn't change anything.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.
