Who cares about total rebounds? Lee is JUST NOT THAT GOOD. He's not worth it. He's a brian cardinal type player - hustle, little skill. That's why mike D doesnt like him. I dont like David Lee because he just sucks at defense. I've never seen him make a good defensive play. He does great hustle things around the rim, but for whatever reason gets torched on D.
If Lee is not "that good" how come every GM asks to have Lee put into the trade. Even Memphis was going to trade their 5th pick for Lee (And also dump Cardinal's salary). Lee isn't a franchise player. He is, however, a very solid player and on a team with a good defensive center or PF, his lack of strong defense is covered. He is also a leader and very positive locker room presense, and he hustled his a** off.

Yeah Case, can eat crow after the performance that Lee and the team displaye tonite, Lee was great, so so much for him being "Not so Good", shows how much Case doesn't know, so eat crow. LOL

Nice game for Lee tonight doing exactly what he does well: Rebounds, dunks, and layups. His defense was awful as usual, but luckily he wasn't playing against any really good inside players.

Boy I tell ya, the Wizards miss Brendan Haywood more than they thought they "Wood"! get it? "Wood" oohah!

You only get rid of DLee if you can get rid of Curry and/or get a 1st RD pick. That's it. Anything else would be foolish.

Thats still a crazy sum. Sorry but if thats it then trade him. I like him and would be nice to keep him as a key member off the bench, but not at that price.

Ok4 is quickly turning into Nazr Mohammed. I think he has so many different interests other than basketball that he's just not the baller that he could be. I mean he has never been anything in the NBA much more than a better version of Nazr Mohammed and now he is turning into him--for 11-12mm per year. David Lee is easily going to get 8mm and in FA teams tend to overpay.

It put the Knicks in a difficult position. There is no guarantee that either David Lee OR Nate WONT be overpaid in FA. How can the Knicks afford nothing back?

Yeah, now that Zach is gone watch Lee's play improve. That does a couple of things, it either gets us a nice pick or a young player in return. His value was dipping so it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go.

lee is a good hustle player...that's valuable but certainly if you can get something good for him, you do it. if you can trade lee with curry for a first rounder and something else of value, you do it. i like the guy but really, you can find a replacement pretty easily.

Don't worry. Even Lee knows he's not worth what people are afraid he'll ask for, because no other GM is going to give him what people are afraid he'll ask for. It will be good and he will help us.
