Lebron and Bosh are very good friends. Does anybody knows if their favorite colors are orange and blue?

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FLEXIBILITY BABY. We finally have it and it's not just a hope or a dream. I'd have no problem with a combination of Wade and James or Bosh and James or Wade and Bosh or Wade and Dirk or James and Dirk ...
Man it's a win, win for us no matter how it shakes out. You've got to figure if we have enough money to sign two max players that we can get them on the phone with each other and get them to agree to come here and try to win a title together. Money for two is a powerful enticement. |

They need 39 million open to get both of them. They're looking at about 34, 35 mill open mattering how much they give D Lee and Nate The Great, and IF they can move Eddy Cheeseburger. We'll see.
I wouldn't want them to disrespect Nate, and let him keep 4 if he's still here, and I really hope he is. Lebron can have Q Rich's number, starting spot, his minutes, his locker and whatever else he wants. I don't care what people think. People are stupid. - Charles Barkley

Posted by TheGame: First of all, you are assuming the Cavaliers will win the championship. While they certainly have improved their roster, this isn't a loaded team like L.A., Boston or maybe even Detroit. While they sure are contenders this season, the path to the championship in the East will be far more difficult than the West, where there are many good teams but the Lakers are just unreal. IF they win is a very, VERY BIG "IF" and it remains to be seen what will happen. Until it happens, its off the discussion. Second, while I'm with you that I was disappointed we couldn't get a draft pick out of the deals, none here is the GM to know how possible it actually was. For example, last offseason the Clippers were rumored to want Zach but also wanted a draft pick. THEY WANTED IT. Why? Because for all the 20/10 average of Zach, he was still a questionmark in terms of his behavior. After 11 games this season he proved he still could average his usual numbers with D'Antoni and his whole stint in NY was problem-free. Therefore the demands of a draft pick were off. We got nothing? Given our situation, cap space is gold so we got a lot out of the deals. Could we have gotten draft picks? We will never know but we have to trust that if it would've been possible, Walsh would've gotten them. Third, even Walsh acknowledged that this was only step one, so we have to believe that he wont stop until we have a talented nucleus that could attract free agents. We still have many pieces we can turn in draft picks, prospects and more cap space so we have no reason to believe this is the last move before 2010. And while 2010 gets all the headlines because of the free agent class, we have to see that the moves, necessary moves, give us flexibility not only to build a contender in 2010, but keep rebuilding for another year if we strike out on the free agents. Listen, we knew this had to happen at some point. We have wanted this for such a long time that I can't believe many are seeing negatives in this. Its like the media and some fans always find a reason to be unhappy. One day we cry our long term contracts wont let us improve the team and that there is no hope. Next day we get flexibility but we lost our two to scorers. Please. This had to happen and as a first step it was solid. But this isn't the last one and whether we get the star free agents or not, we are headed to the right direction. For the first time in a long time, we have the control of our destiny. Knicks_Fan

On Yao- I've seen a couple of places say he has an early termination option that could make him an FA in 2010. Though I know hoopshype (which is generally accurate) doesn't show that.

Posted by TheGame: 1. He's leaving Cleveland because he wants to be the biggest star in the world, and that happens in NYC. Even players around the league think it's going to happen. David Stern wants it. Madison Ave wants it. Lebron James wants it. And he's a Yankees fan. 2. Zach Randolph is a LOSER. Always has been, always will be. That's why we got him for Channing Frye. Thats why we couldn't GIVE him away last summer. That's why the Clippers wanted a 1st rounder to take on his contract. That's why Milwaukee refused to trade garbage for him. 3. All the eggs are being PUT INTO A BASKET, for once. Before Friday we didn't have a pot to piss in. Randolph and Crawford are born losers. When's the last time these GREAT 20/10 and amazing scorers made the playoffs? 4. 2nd rounders? Really? Cause everyone is looking to trade the #5 pick for the #13 and a 2nd rounder. That happens ALL the time. Oh wait, that NEVER happens. No offense but 90% of the time a 2nd rounder is meaningless. If you look over the years almost just as many undrafted players have become as successful as 2nd rounders. I don't care what people think. People are stupid. - Charles Barkley

Speaking of the dude who's name isn't spelled right, you guys notice he's averaging about two blocked shots a game this year? He's like 4th in the league....
