those guys have acted that way their entire careers... Pierce got stabbed 11 times in the face & neck at a club a few years back probably cuz he messed w/the wrong cat... i guess these guys will never learn... they grow up w/a feeling of entitlement because everyone kisses their butts everywhere they go, but there's plenty of people out there that don't give a rat's behind who they are or how much money they got & won't hesitate to serve them up a slice of humble pie any chance they get.

yeah but isn’t the old story you love 'em when they're on your team and hate 'em when they're not? how much would we have hated oakley and starks if they had been doing their stuff to our guys? how much would we love kg, pierce and allen if they had just won us a championship

that's true Marv, but even tho Starks was as demonstrative as they get, the difference there was that it wasn't out of his feelings of arrogance over being a superstar NBA player... it was out of his pride for wearing that Knicks' uniform... the guy had to scrap & battle for everything he ever got in life, nothing was handed to him on a silver platter because he didn't have the talent that guys like KG & Pierce have... & as far as i know Starks was as humble as they get off the basketball court... i'm not saying KG & Pierce didn't work to get where they're at, but i think it's a different kind of arrogance there.

True, we would have hated them, but Oakley was a real tough guy, not a fake one. Peeler would never have taken a swing at him for fear of having his ass handed to him. And Starks was kind of a mental case, so I don't think most players wanted to mess with him either.

That is the same game that Marbury called House a bum. The end result was the Knicks getting blown out and House dropping 20 points. The Knicks have been getting blown out by the Celtic since Ricky Davis was on their team.

No KG only means that Pierce will try to drop 50. lol

Yep. When you look at the last 3 years where we got murdered by the schedule makers and our own injuries - it's fair that for a change we're on the winning side of that.

If we beat Boston it's still a win. The only thing is you can't say we can contend with them on a Division Title front - because - they weren't at full strength. Injuries/Suspensions are part of the game, single games, during the season so you can't take a potential win away from us.

You just can't go out and brag about it IMO - that's all.

We're still ahead of ourselves though. We have to go INTO BOSTON and beat a very good team - KG or no KG. Pierce and Allen can still murder us and their subs are better than ours. All it would take is Nate and Crawford to get out-matched and we're done right there. Entirely possible those two have poor shooting nights while getting lit up.
