cant see how we keep Zach unless no good offers come in. So far this is exactly what we could hope for. Knicks start winning games and our players value gets inflated.

Think about it... people on this board were willing to trade DOWN or even give up the pick if it meant getting rid of Zach. Now he's a 20/11 player on a 2nd place team. Granted its early but he playing WAY better than guys like Brand and JOneil right now. Zach is turning heads.

If this keeps up we will be in position to fleece someone and I hope we do.

That is a real longshot...I have never witnessed in my lifetime Knick management fleecing anyone..

I can tell you one poster who said we should showcase Randolph, pump up his value and then try to trade him...he is a true visionary...and his name is...oohah!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

New Rule: No more trade ideas for Bulls Players!

oohah
would you do:
How about Noah, Thomas and Hughes from the Bulls for Zach?
NO!
But I would do Noah + Hughes for Curry + Mardy

Remember - Hughes has a dislocated right shoulder-probably out another few weeks. Could be problems.

Zach is needed for putbacks on this team right now when the guards and SFs miss their shots. He is still an excellent rebounder and is showing that he CAN share the ball. After all that was the only knock on the floor against him wasn't it? Taking bad shots and not sharing the ball. If Craw can find a place in this system, why cant Zach?

Bulls management have our number don't they...We got them once with the Oakley trade, but Cartwright wasn't bad for them...

I don't think we got them with the Oakley trade. I think Horace Grant was better so they knew they didn't need Oakley.

And Cartwright wasn't as good a player as Oakley, but he filled in nicely at center, and he played very well Vs. Ewing.

oohah

everyone played well against Ewing

Chicago:

Zach for
Kirk Hinrich and Joakim Noah

or

Zach for
Tyrus Thomas, Thabo Sefolosha, and Drew Gooden

Denver:

Zach for
NOTHING!!! the only assets I'd be into are Kleiza and Anthony (and to a lesser degree JR Smith) and the Nugs won't trade Anthony for Randolph and it's impossible to find salary around Kleiza

I really think Zach is actually showing he has SOME value around this league which is what I figured what would happen playing under MikeD.

Zach/Malik for

Larry Hughes (cap fodder, his contract expires after next year)
Ben Gordon (would thrive under miked)
Tyrus Thomas (could play center in this system)

I think we traded enough with Chicago. I dont want to curse this team with another one thank you very much.

I love Randolph as much as the next guy when we are winning. Lets just keep in mind what he does though. He gets rebounds, which is great, but is a mediocre low post scorer. He is more dependent on his jump shot. We need someone that can dominate the paint defensively and offensively. Randolph just isnt that. I like him a lot, but I like the prospect of finding the piece that fits, not fitting the square peg into the round hole just because we like the square peg. He has great trade value and can open up the cap soooo much.

Lets be real here. We have no stars on our team. Yes Randolph looks good now, cause hes the best of crappy players, but imagine what an all star could do on our team that was hand selected for the new system. Lets rebuild and the way to do that is with cap room.

I will add this in
CURRY COOKING: Eddy Curry met briefly with his agent, Leon Rose, before last night's game. Curry has been sidelined since the second game of the season with a bruised right knee. He is expected to be out another two weeks.

D'Antoni had removed Curry from the rotation before the Knick season opener.

There is interest in the center from the Spurs and Heat. Miami may be willing to trade D'Antoni favorite Shawn Marion, but a potential deal with Curry is complicated because their salaries don't match.

If true we should target Tiago Splitter from Spurs and cap filler. Or Mark Blount and a 2nd rd pick or future future first from Miami.

Exquisite Speculation!

Very Dandy if the premise is truth.
