I think Fishy got it right when he said Duhon is about as good as the talent around him.

With that said......he's a waste here with the talent the Knicks have. Knicks need a busier player......like a Rondo, Felton, DJ Augustine,.....basically anybody but Duhon cuz I'd even take Ridinour.

To me Duhon is just not busy enough. He doesn't make mistakes cuz he's not doing anything to really make a mistake. Nate makes tons of mistakes cuz he's tooooooo busy. That probably why you can't start him.

i really dont understand what some of you are seeing with duhan... hes very busy on both sides of the court.. always making deflections, setting guys up gettin boards hittin ket threes what more do u want.

Think he's getting paid less than Ward did. Or Eisley. Or Childs.

I was not referring to his salary, I was referring to his skill-set.
He has more energy, he spreads the floor with respectable 3 point range and his game blossoms under pressure in the fourth quarter.
Ward was a nice player for team character and floor leadership... but he did not represent the threat that Duhan represents to defenses, making them play honest spread D, until rather late in his career, and even then he still lacked Duhan's energy and skill-set.

I respect your point.
However, my point stands that we're getting much better bang for the buck considering what we're paying him compared to those guys.

w/Ward & Eisley it wasn't so much what they were paid annually as much as it was the amount of years we committed to signing those guys... we got Duhon, a very solid role player that fills his role well, on a 2 year deal at MLE dollars... great value for what we signed him to do & he's doing exactly what we wanted out of him when we brought him in here to begin with... Ward was a much better defender than Eisley & i think Duhon is in the same mold as Ward as a player... he can knock down the open J, plays solid defense & doesn't make stupid decisions w/the ball on offense... i think Duhon is a better floor general w/better court vision than Ward or Eisley as well... Duhon reminds me a lot of Doc Rivers actually.

The most important thing about Duhon is that he is leading this team.

Exactly. He's passing the ball and keeping everyone active; this is D'As system and Duhon is running it well.

I do agree that occasionally he passes up an open shot and passes the ball instead of shooting. He'll learn with a little more experience. But it is refreshing to have a point guard who actually plays point!

Just checked he's 8th in assts pg and 4th in asst/to.Since the slow start he has picked up the pace and and picks his spots to shoot. Has taken control when the situation warrants. What more do you want from a pg?

The Knicks are learning how to win. I wouldn't underestimate Duhon's contribution to closing out a game. I really like the way he looks to distribute the ball, man up on D and grab some rebounds...but in the fourth quarter with the game on the line he steps it up a notch. That's a quality I'd like to see more of.

41 assists and 6 turnovers in the last 5 games? Clutch plays down the stretch of at least 3 wins. Big shots, big rebounds. That's regoshdarndiculous. What else would fans be looking for?
