what is the point of talking about 2010 and people abandoning it and how you can't undrstand it? Stfu!

dude, the people who say the 2010 plan is all BS do the same ****, what's the difference? they're bitchin' about the same ol' **** just like the others are.

It was mean what I said about your comment. And I take back the Ewing thing. I just get tired of hearing about things that don't matter anymore. Ewing was a class act. He just had a bad class of guys that played with him.

I don't bitch about anything on this forum. I'm here debating **** for the fun just like everyone else.....I'm just tired of this bull**** with GKF.
I say ban him......islesfan is banned, trueblue is banned, playa is banned......they are but at least they all had something to say and backed it up enough to turn the forum upside down......What does GKF contribute but constant bitching about he players suck and we should be miserable for 2 years song and dance?

If MDA can win 40+ games this year and maybe 48 to 52 games next season Then thats an attractive look for 2010. Not 33 wins and then 40, missing the playoffs still trying to figured it out. At that point in their careers ( FA CLASS), a championship becomes more important then a few extra chips.

I really doubt this same will win 50 games, whether it be this year or next. I'm sure we're not the only teams thinking about 2010. Take the Pistons for example. They just traded for Iverson to win-now but at the same time they are now in great position for 2010. This is what makes Dumars a great GM. Billups btw, was acquired through free agency originally.

Dumars is one hell of a GM isn't he? That's the way the Lakers always did it also. They'd win big with what they had, then retire. The GM would protect the money and they would go bargain hunting, pick up some really good draft picks. And they would wait until those key superstars would become available. Guys like Kareem and Shaq and match them up with their picks like Magic, Worthy, Bryant and a whole cast of support.

That's why they have all those championships. They really know how to do it.

The Knicks on the other hand have never really had a pure superstar. And the closest one I can think of right now is 'Bernard King'. That guy was just an phenomenal offensive weapon in his days.

I think GKFv2 is referring to the contracts ending right when big time free agency takes place. Contract wise, it's a great move and at the same time, makes the Pistons one of the favorites for now.

i think AI is a better player than Billups & his contract's an expiring... don't see where the Pistons made a bad trade on that one, but of course if he comes in & spoils the team chemistry they already had then obviously u can make a great argument... time will tell whether that was a good trade or not but personally i would have had no problems if say Walsh had traded Marbs & D Lee for AI for example.

ai, though no marbs, is a chemistry-killer and a headache for any franchise. joe will regret picking him up. he shoots like world b f'g free. he just cna't help it.

I don't get why people are so hot on the knicks after a 4-2 start. It's the beginning of the season, there is a LONG way to go. Personally I would prefer we tank and get a top pick but I don't know who we would draft. People are overreacting because it's the first time in 3 years the knicks have had a winning record, but it's only November. Not that I don't care, I do, and it is impressive. However, what is it really going to do to help us long term? Maybe increase the value of some chips to trade - that I am cool with.

It also looks like not resigning dlee will pay off unless he starts to break out.

That's if you believe Dumars' goal is to win with Iverson. I personally don't believe that's the case. I think they are rebuilding and positioning themselves.
