If I remember correctly, you (and I) were against the trade that brought Zach here in exchange for nothing. Were you wrong then? If you he plays very well for a full season and helps his team win games, I'll say I was wrong.

It was a bad trade, whether he has a good season or not. Whether he has a good season is all on Zach. The plan, however, was to put him and Curry side by side, and that was very poor vision by Isiah, for actually thinking that would work.

And his contract is still horrible.

With all that being said, if he continues to play the way he does, then I give all the credit to Zach for taking his game to a new level. His effort on D is a little bit up too.

agreed, but 1 thing, there wasn't anyone on this board who ever thought Zach wasn't a good basketball player & couldn't play... the problem was how he made sense on this team, the lack of a vision when that ill-concieved trade went down like u pointed out, & how bad his contract was & how it would limit any future flexibility to make FA signings down the road... none of that has changed, so yeah, it was still a horrible trade any way u wanna look at it.

But why be hell bent on trading him in stead of curry when he is much more talented and seems like an easier attraction to another perimiter all star.

OK, Zach Randolph makes way too much money for a guy that cannot be built around. Both him and Curry need to go. The good thing about Randolph playing well is that it raises his value around the league.

Exactly how many PFs are avg that, I would prefer to put a shot blocking center around zach.

he's 1 of a few guys i'd rather have on my team than Zach that can realistically be targetted in 2010 if we had the cap space to do so... u want me to go through the list again?

That would be a no brainer if it was that simple and bosh was a sure thing. To give zach up with no ins that any of the top FA's are coming here is a dumb move.
