I love what ZBo is doing right now, but don't you think ZBo's history dictates how he is treated by the media. We are not talking about a model citizen here.

DLee on the other hand has been one of the players that gave us hope the past couple of years. Years that I want to forget.

You need a double standard for players that always seem to do the right thing and knuckleheads.

I don't think we need a double-standard. I don't see a double-standard helps anyone. Lee can do the right thing all day long and that doesn't change the years that you want to forget does it?

What counts the most to me is what happens on the floor. The opinion of Lee and the right things he does is way overblown on this forum. I consider the right thing to do to be showing up for the season in shape instead of playing one's self into shape.

Randolph has a poor record off the court but on the court he is twice the player Lee is and that goes back to Portland.

I judge players mainly on their play and not so much on their press clippings.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

The Mark of ZBo

"I love what ZBo is doing right now, but don't you think ZBo's history dictates how he is treated by the media. We are not talking about a model citizen here."

NYKBocker - what oohah said. I could care less how the media interprets player behavior on or off the court. Model citizen? There is no such thing. They are all human beings with flaws. Zach has been villified for some minor scuffles the same way Charles Barkley was a suspect as he always seemed to attract jerks.

But none of that matters in the final analysis. Spree tried to strangle his coach but was beloved for showing that same maniacal fire in the memorable playoff run of 99.

Zach is not a criminal or a thug. If the Presidential Campaign reminded us of anything is that you must think for yourself, and not automatically embrace the labels sanctioned by Fox News or MSNBC. His media "treatment" is a by-product of some executive producers, or editors, personal perspective. Same with Lee. We all see things (the way we want to see) through our personal prism. The most difficult thing is to question every adjective.

Think for yourself.

Zach Randolph pals around with terrorists

All I'm sayin' is how can anyone legitimately confirm that Zach is a "cancer" if they have never set foot in the Blazers or Knicks locker room?

How much of (cough) reporting is shaped by perception, rumor and innuendo?

I agree with you there; but what I see from the latest games - Zack, Lee, and Chan are complimenting each other in so many ways in this system, that it produced success and minimizing the flows each of them has individually. I don't care who of this 3 is starting and who is getting the stats. If they play good as a Team they should stay; and no need for any experimenting. We had enough of experimenting already.
