I'm not sure what kinda combination can be worked between us and Portland, but you guys know where I stand on this guy by now - I think he's a very talented, exciting, pass-first PG who also can score the ball. D'Antoni and the Garden fans would love this kid. I agree he should be starting (he's a better player than Steve Blake) but yeah, for whatever reason, Nate McMillan doesn't love him.

NYKBocker, you're not getting Sergio, Rudy AND Outlaw (I don't think so anyway - McMillan loves Fernandez and Outlaw) for that package, esp. with Webster hurt right now. But I could see something along the lines of what Purple suggested - Lee, Rose and Collins for Sergio, Frye and Diogu. That could work. I love Sergio's game and I know this might sound nuts but I actually wouldn't mind trying out Frye again to be honest. He's soft, but he's got a lot of offensive ability - if D'Antoni got a hold of this kid, who knows. All he needs to do is play tougher overall, show us a willingness to mix it up underneath and rebound the ball - all things he should be doing anyway (there are plenty of bigs in the league with half the talent Frye has that at least give you the hustle, bang and play hard) - but the size and the skill level is there (say what you want but he's actually got more God-given talent and skill than David Lee). He's been disappointing, no doubt, but in my mind, there's really no reason why he shouldn't be as good as LaMarcus Aldridge if he ever gave maximum effort.

I like that ideaa. I like Frye and I think he might actually flourish in this system. The boy can shoot and likes to dunk and can't play defense. Perfect fit for D'Antoni.

The package you are talking about of Lee, Rose, and Collins for Sergio, Frye and Diogu doesn't not work under the CBA agreement, since Portland doesn't met the requirements of the Agreement. But the other trade DLee, Nate and Mardy for Sergio, Rudy Fernandez and Outlaw does work, but of course the problem is Portland likes both Outlaw and Fernandez, so that won't happen.

I think a straight up trade for Collins and Sergio would be just since it works under the CBA, but again does Portland want Collins, I am sure Sergio would be great in NY, I think he brings more to the table then Collins, thing is does Walsh or Portland even consider this one?.

While we're on the subject of Portland here, I have to say has anyone noticed that they are starting 19 yr old PF 6'8" Nicolas Batum, who was originally drafted 25th in the last draft by Houston then Portland trade for his rights, the kid is starting!, when our #6 pick Gallo is not even in the rotation, because he is struggling to get into shape. There is something wrong with this picture.

No we need to draft Thabeet. We need to establish a low post threat and defensive intimidator. What's a matter with you? You don't like shotblocking?

of course i do, but i think Jennings has the potential to be a CP3 type player, & we could really use that type of talent on this roster... we can pick up a shotblocking presence lower in the draft if we're smart now & trade D Lee for an extra pick.

You guys talk about this cat a lot. I saw him in the Houston game, dont know if he is worth all this sustained d*ckriding you guys give him. Looks small. There probably is a good reason why he is buried on Portland's bench.

If we can get him straight up for Collins or Collins and a future second rounder say, you do it in a heartbeat, and I kind of like Collins actually. Or in an expanded scenario for Lee or Lee+ where we'd get back Sergio plus something else useful (hopefully Rudy but at least Frye), still interested...

It's all academic because Pritchard just came out today and said he's not interested in moving him so I guess that's that...

Trade Lee and Collins for Frye and Sergio. You know Frye would have fit better in D'antoni's system.

can we please stop talking about Channing Frye? the thought of him in a Knicks uniform gives me the hives... that image of Melo standing over him while he's cowering like a beat dog is embedded in my brain.

Why the **** do people have to make it so ****ing complicated? Nate for Rodriguez. The fact that you're kind of like "ehhhhhhhhhh" means it's fair, damnit.

Nate is one of the Knicks best players and thrives in D'Antoni's system. No way I include him in any deal! Especially for Rodriguez.

Collins yes. Nate NO!

No. It is not too harsh.

It states very clearly in the UK bylaws that all Sergio Rodriguez nuthuggers are to be dealt with swiftly and without mercy.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
