Frank williams should be the most improved! That dude was so over his head and unprepared.

Im into this conspicy. Frank was rumored to have broken his wrist and the reason his fall in the first round. remember he was lotto material year before. He pulls up at summer league with a broken wrist.

Perhaps he held it secret and played on it not quite healed?

Be it as it may, we should see the real deal this year. I hope this guy is so good it scares Milos to transylvania!

Here is my Laydog thought I would like to seer thru my brain in 2 years......"Too bad the bosses did not allow him to rebuild years before, the Mofo really knows his ****!

The past is tangable, the future is obstract! we'll see what happens in years time.

Meanwhile, how many games will they win? who the hell knows.

Hey yall. Just got through catchin up reading the last few weeks of posts. I like this one (cuz it's gonna be pinned). I'm only looking at a 25-30 win season tops. WAY too many holes and questions. With all the talk of lineups, I'd like to add my nickel (inflation). Do like: Allan, Shandon as a backup, KT about every 3d game, a healthy Dice. Don't like KVH (A LOT!!!), and the (seems to be) ever-widening hole at the 5 (when did 4s and 5s become interchangeable?). I'm for almost any guy w/ size that's cheap for now (Committee @ 5). I saw a blurb on Stanley Roberts (remember him?) some months ago. He wants to prove he's STILL better than Shaq. I'd like to give him a chance. Better than stiffs we KNOW can't play, and way cheaper. Though I LOVE(D?) CWard, he's way too inconsistent, and makes my head hurt. A lineup of Ward/Frank, Allan/Shandon, KVH(), Dice/KT (where I GOTTA play him!), and that vaunted fill-in-the-blank PF at the C spot; looks like a whopping ~20-win season. We in that down cycle right now, w/ $ concerns and the players we have now, we're almost midstream between rebuilding and trying to make a playoff team. It'd be nice if we could field a team that win or lose, made opponents KNOW they had to play to beat us, rather than our being simply 'next'. A miracle in the Garden would be sweet, but we'll need to work HARD to make it happen.

What about the depth of our bench with our new rookies.... Lampe, is going to be badass, and so is sweetney... Lampe was suposed to be a lottery pick... he is going to come out basically ****ting on the teams that turned him up....I think the knicks are decent... we just have to wait to see if the point gaurds can build chemistyr...Lampe will be the Amare stoudemire of the 2003... ROokie of the Year... Sweetney will beat C-spoon, and O-Harr with playing time.. guarantee it... You gotta expect more than 20 wins with this game.... Van horn might have a career year with the knicks.. he finally has a soft coach in Chaney that will let him play the way he wants, like Calipari did...

I didn't address any of the rookies because they ain't played yet. Not that they won't be good, my jury is simply still out. We need them BADLY, no doubt, but I'd like them to get sum games under their belts so's I won't be so scared. My Knicks have drafted people I WANTED, or at least liked, that NEVER panned out (Dontae, Wallace, Walker, various and sundry big men never to be heard from again...). I'm hoping the rooks are airthang AND a biggie fries...and we STILL NEED A BIG MAN!!!!!

your right.... they havent played yet.. i guess we'll just have to see... If dyss is healthy, and they trade KT for Vanex, then Dyss would prob start at center... PF... would be van horn. SF would be s.anderson...

If Dice comes back and the Knicks do make the NVE deal Than the lineup would be loaded.
I can see them starting:
KVH sf
Dice PF
Doleac C
Houston sg
NVE pg

That to me is a loaded lineup all Doleac would have to do is concentrate on Rebounding and get the ball to NVE. This team IMHO is better than most teams in the east maybe the only team I would rank a head of them is the Nets. Detroit maybe but I'm not convinced with that team I think they over acheieved last year because they sure did struggle through the playoffs. Sixers added new man to the mix with Big Dog but its still one man show there. Boston has been on the decline again. Pierce and no one else, I don't even consider Walker an elite player a decent player at best. Indiana if you think about that team they have some talent but its not great talent.

PLEASE DON'T!!! KVH at the 4??!!, Dice at 5???. Dice can't play C AND get KVH's back at the 4!! I have little or no faith in KVH as far as D and boards go. We can manufacture production in the backcourt (I hope), but we simply cannot give up the lane!!! It's like the line of scrimmage in football, control gives you control (remember the AFC teams during the 80's?). Maybe I'm too old school...
