aw briggsy, at this point in his rookie season people were already calling frye a future all-star (e.g., martin )

gallinari showed an awesome skill set in the 2nd half of his summer league game. Certainly unique for his size and something to pin some real hope on. but it's obviously been slowed down by the injury.

imagine what portland fans are going through right now re: injured rookies

Gallo would be getting more minutes if his back could take it. MSG threw us a little bone to convince us he's on track and he's probably been in contraction ever since.

Forget Euroleague and college nonsense what Briggs is saying is play Gallo, already and make him work like he has never worked before. If Ryan Andersen can get run being a 21st pick why can't Gallo get run being a 6th pick both teams are rebuilding.

Exactly --this is a 23 win team with way too many unknown variables that is claiming to rebuild. Either Gallinari is hurt and cant play or he is not and HAS to play. If he was a star type player in the Euroleague there is NO cuddling here--those guys play he isnt 17 he's 20 same age as Andersen--20 minutes and I want to see 8-9 points and 4 rebounds 2 assists

Yeah, that makes sense. He is recovering from a bulging disk so lets make him work like he has never worked before.

Seriously, did you think that out, both of you?
Considering all that Gallo did in Europe, do you think he doesn't know what working out hard is?

If you didn't put two and two together yet, a part of his bulging disk might be due to the fact that he played non stop for like a year. He took it to people and played very physical that whole time as well.

Give it a rest already, the season just started and he is playing through an injury, not fatigue.

If he is hurt put him on IR. Because an injury can happen any moment. Gallo stepping on the court means he is capable of playing. Give it a rest already, If a player is hurt he should be shut down. He isn't hurt and if he is the questin is did the Knicks draft damaged goods

Yes, Briggs with his 3rd topic today and his 107th on Gallinari since the draft, has the answer. The answer is that Gallinari is a scrub that is no better than Ryan Anderson of the Nets. He's a terrible player who will retire at the age of 23 due to back issues. He is the Knicks' Sam Bowie. Walsh screwed up the draft. He really did. He could have taken any other great player but he settled on a soft Euro. Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni = clueless morons who wasted a draft pick.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Briggs, I never know what your end game is with these posts? Are you just venting or do you want an apology from us fans. I don't get it. Right or wrong, Gallinari is here. Stop whining and move forward. There is nothing you can do about it now except hope that he can be successful.
I just hope that people will like me

You missed the one where he was gushing about how good Gallinari is. Our dear BRIGGS, Mr. Consistency!

I don't see how this is relevant. Joe Alexander (who many on this board wanted the Knicks to select at 6) only made his debut last night. Is Ryan Anderson better than him too?

game 3 of the season & we have the annual BRIGGS "I told you so" posts starting up already... this is priceless.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I prefer annoying to priceless, but to each their own.

That is exactly the point. Either put him on IR or play the 6th pick in the draft on a 23 win team 20 minutes. If he cannot play 20 minutes he is hurt--IR if he can play 20 minutes--then play him. None of the BS coddling. If the Nets can play a similar player who was taken 21 20 minutes a game--we can play our guy. 20 minutes of conditioning should not be a problem for a 20 year old --that is an excuse. Either he is hurt and we need to take steps to ensure that he is not chronically hurt by doing this in between stuff--oh he is OK today but yesterdays practice took a lot out of him. Either you can play or you cant--there is no in between. There is NO more BS--even after game 3--they BS about his condition for the last 6 months---can he play or cant he???
